BMW Motorrad built this sportbike to compete in the 2009 Superbike World Championships. This bike has a 999cc, inline four-cylinder engine capable of 207 horsepower. BMW designed this bike for speed with a lightweight frame. The BMW S1000RR can bring this power to its tires at a total of 83 lb-ft of torque at 11,000 RPM.
BMW has updated the electronics package of the new 2019 BMW S1000RR. Its engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter.
