What is the best way to generate money online?
As I read about making money on most websites, it always appears cheesy or likes some link hacking technique that is too good to be true.
There are, however, a few exceptional people who get it right. In the video below, I'll introduce you to a few of them and tell you my top ten strategies to make money online in an authentic, inspirational, informative, and entertaining manner.
A way that fills you up not by the amount of money in your bank account (which can be a lot if you do it right), but by the emails you get from customers about how you changed their lives, or when you meet an online client in person with tears streaming down their face as they express how their dreams have come true because of YOU!
It's a tremendous sensation, and I want you to have it.
However, knowing how to do it well, in a way that both serves your vision and benefits others, is essential.
Here are my top ten strategies to earn money online while maintaining your integrity:
1. Education and Training
This is my preferred method, and I've been doing it for the past five years. Because of the great success they witnessed from the University of Phoenix, which set the tone for online education, practically every major university has been doing this (taking their classes online). Companies and entrepreneurs can now build online schools more easily than ever before, and my close friend Marie Forleo is a classic example with her mega-success, B-School.
2. Provide a Service
Providing a service may be the simplest approach to get started because it does not require any capital. Ian Robinson, my podcast editor, is assisting podcast makers with editing their broadcasts to improve production value. There are numerous ways to give service; it is only a matter of recognizing your strengths and determining what solutions you can offer others.
3. Developing and Marketing Products
You may bundle your knowledge in ANYTHING into a book, course, software, audio program, DVD, and so on. Webinars are the most effective approach to spread the news and sell these products.
4. Continuity Programs and Membership Sites
Ramit Sethi is another champion in this area for whom I have a lot of admiration. He has a fantastic continuity program (Ramit's Brain Trust), and he sends out essential and specific material to his devoted group every month. The community benefits from his smart leadership and pays him regularly to maintain access to the community and resources. The benefit of this strategy is that you have to sell anything once and then get paid every month.
5. Affiliate marketing
Nick Reese has done a fantastic job creating websites, creating excellent searchable content, and selling other people's things on his sites. Every sale or lead he sends to the company earns him a commission. As a result, he never had to develop his own product to grow his company (he has since branched out into other areas that you can check out on his new site). Pat Flynn does an excellent job doing this, and he even discloses how much money he makes from his affiliates regularly.
6. Creating and Selling Ads on a Website
Derek Halpern is a GENIUS when it comes to this. Years ago, the founder of SocialTriggers built a celebrity gossip website with millions of monthly visitors, which he used to sell advertising on the site. Tina Su of ThinkSimpleNow.com is another example who excels at this while delivering motivational personal development information.
7. Selling Branded Content Sponsorships
John Lee Dumas earns over $50,000 per month from his show by selling sponsorships, and he explains how he does it here. This can be accomplished through a podcast, creating a niche website, or even a video program. Create branded material around your interest and seek out sponsors who will appeal to your target market.
8. Special Occasions
Organizing and promoting events, whether online or offline, can also be lucrative. Michael Stelzner, who began with a basic blog a few years ago, now hosts online summits and in-person events with thousands of attendees.
9. Masterminds and Coachings
Jonathan Fields, a member of the Integrity Podcast Network, is an inspiring changemaker. He heads the Good Life Project, which offers year-round coaching and retreats in exotic destinations for a hefty ticket price. Jonathan has mastered the ability to do both online and offline, so this can be done anyway.
10. Using Your Imagination
Jason Sadler (now known as Jason SurfrApp) is a visionary businessman. With Iwearyourshirt.com, he leveraged his web platform to make money by wearing companies' shirts. He now sells his surname for roughly $50,000 a year, sells sponsor pages in his next book, and continues to push the boundaries of what may be made by being creative.
These are just some of my favorite ways to make money online. I'd love to hear which of the steps outlined above you've used to make money online. Please contribute (and be precise) in the comments box below, and if I missed something, feel free to add another point that works well for you.
