Education serves several purposes, including enhancing individual lives, fostering a more equitable society, eliminating poverty, promoting innovation and creativity, and transmitting knowledge across generations. In India, the Constitution (Eighty-sixth Amendment) Act of 2002 established free and compulsory education as a fundamental right for children between the ages of six and fourteen.
