1. Make the clean desk policy mandatory :
Touching surfaces and items are one of the key ways COVID-19 spreads. As a result, a clean desk policy is now required. Encourage employees to clean their own workstation, keyboard, and phone daily, in addition to storing their belongings and exchanging material via antiviral lockers.
2. Promote and Facilitate 'Respiratory Hygiene :
Employees should be reminded to cough and sneeze at a distance of two meters via posters, meetings, and the intranet. Sneezing should be done into a paper tissue or the elbow. To dispose of them, provide closed (pedal) bins.
3. Installation of disinfectant dispensers :
Disinfectant dispensers should be placed in the restroom and other areas of the workplace. Display WHO posters to encourage hand washing and complement this with information sessions and intranet communication. As a result, personnel with contaminated hands are less likely to infect their eyes, nose, or mouth.
4. Respecting International Travel Guidances :
Employees can find the latest information about the dispersion of COVID-19 via the WHO website. Stress that they must strictly follow the instructions of local governments. In any case, avoid sending older employees or personnel with diabetes, heart, or lung complaints to risk zones.
5. Avoid Unnecessary Daily Contact in Reception Area :
Your reception area is the most vulnerable zone in your company because it is a semi-public environment. Restrict courier and supplier movements, as well as their interactions with employees. Reduce the risk of infection for both personnel and delivery services by having them delivered directly into an antiviral package box.
6. Provide disinfectant for business trips :
Provide tiny bottles (100 mL) of alcohol-based disinfection and tissues for journeys 24 hours a day, seven days a week via hygienic lockers, and provide the contact information for the company's person accountable in the event of disease. Tell them to keep a two-meter barrier between themselves and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
7. Limit physical interaction with visitors :
Get visitors to register using an autonomous and antiviral visitor management system without requiring the intervention of reception staff. When registering, the visitor is given your prevention measures to read and accept and may only then meet their host.
8. Monitor for 14 days after returning from a trip :
Staff returning from a COVID-19 region must monitor themselves for corona symptoms for 14 days and take their temperature twice a day. If a mild cough or fever (> 37.3°C), they must stay at home, isolate themselves, and inform the emergency services of their symptoms and travel itinerary.
9. Set up an emergency plan and anticipate an isolation zone :
A separate area for someone with COVID-19 symptoms must be included in the plan. If an incident occurs, keep the number of persons who touch the sick person to a minimum and call 911. Identify persons with a higher risk profile (such as active travelers, diabetics, and heart patients) in the plan and keep an eye on them without discriminating.
10. Intensify e-meetings and teleworking :
Allow employees to work from home regularly, especially if they suffer from a minor cough or sneezing fits. Customers, suppliers, and business partners should be encouraged to participate in conference calls. Employees and partners will develop accustomed to working in this manner, ensuring continuity in the event of an outbreak. Get staff to stay away from the public in the case of a COVID-19 epidemic.
