The iPhone 12 Pro Max is one of the best phones available, and it's one of those rare phones that's virtually ideal, especially for those who enjoy large screens. You get a 6.7-inch OLED display, a class-leading A14 Bionic processor, and 5G support. But it's the iPhone 12 Pro Max's lengthy battery life that truly sticks out, as it lasted nearly 11 hours in our web browsing test. It's the most extensive. By far the longest-lasting iPhone 12 model.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max has three back cameras, much like the normal iPhone 12 Pro, but it has a bigger primary sensor that lets in more light. In addition, you get a 2.5 telephoto zoom against 2x on the standard Pro. The iPhone 12 Pro Max also offers stunningly brilliant Dolby Vision video recording, as well as sensor-shift stabilization for smooth filming. The iPhone 12 Pro Max isn't cheap at $1,099, but it's the greatest phone we've tested.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is a fantastic big-screen phone with a dynamic 6.8-inch AMOLED display that ranges from 10Hz to 120Hz for ultra-smooth performance. The standout features are the dual telephoto cameras, with 3x and 10x optical zoom, and the ability to Space Zoom up to 100x with a new Zoom Lock feature. The camera's overall quality has also increased, with better-looking pictures and video. Brighter shots with Night mode.
The S21 Ultra also shines at video capture, thanks to a new Director's View mode that allows you to shoot simultaneously with the front and back cameras. Other highlights include the Snapdragon 888 chip's fast performance and the 5,000 mAh battery's extra-long battery life, as the S21 Ultra lasted nearly 11.5 hours on our web surfing test. Although the Galaxy S21 Ultra does not come with a charger or a microSD card slot, it is the greatest Android phone available.

The OnePlus 9 Pro has the greatest cameras that any OnePlus phone has ever had. The OnePlus 9 includes a superb array of lenses, courtesy of camera specialist Hasselblad, that capture color accurately and generate photographs that rival those produced by leading camera phones, as seen in our OnePlus 9 Pro camera face-off.
Aside from the cameras, the OnePlus 9 Pro has many other features that make it a strong competitor to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. You'll get a display with a refresh rate that adjusts dynamically between 1 and 120Hz. The OnePlus 9 Pro lasted more than 10.5 hours on our battery test, thanks to this. Because of all Apple bundles into its sleek new design, the iPhone 12 Pro is the best phone you can buy. Along with the new A14 Bionic CPU, which outperforms all Android phones, you receive the most 5G bands in any phone. The cameras, though, are the true reason to get the iPhone 12 Pro. The primary sensor now lets in more light, and the Night Mode works on both the ultrawide camera and the front True Depth camera. The combination of the telescopic lens and LiDAR sensor allows you to snap pictures at night.
The iPhone 12 Pro not only has a stunning 6.1-inch OLED display, but it's also covered by Ceramic Shield, which is meant to provide 4x the protection in the event of a drop. Even though they did dig into your palms a little, the flat edges appear quite elegant. Thanks to the magnets integrated into the iPhone 12 Pro, wireless charging is a breeze with the optional MagSafe charger. Apple, on the other hand, does not provide a charger in the box. Although the iPhone 12 Pro's battery life over 5G might be improved, it's the finest photography phone yet and the most comprehensive phone for the money.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is expensive at $1,299, yet no other phablet can match its capabilities. You get a stunning 6.9-inch OLED display with a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a slew of new S Pen features, including new air gestures and a faster 9-millisecond reaction time. In addition, the Note 20 Ultra has one of the most flexible camera systems ever, with a 108MP primary sensor, 50x Space Zoom, and a specialized laser autofocus sensor to eliminate blur.
In addition to being a phone, the Note 20 Ultra is also a small PC and gaming console. You can beam images, applications, and more to a nearby TV with the enhanced DeX mode, and Xbox Game Pass lets you play over 100 Xbox games over the cloud. The Note 20 Ultra also works nicely with your PC, thanks to Link to Windows, which allows you to run Android apps, get alerts, make calls, and more on your laptop. When you add it all up, you've got one of the greatest phones to date.

Much of what makes the iPhone 12 Pro fantastic — the lightning-fast 5-nanometer A14 Bionic CPU, the same excellent 7-element primary camera, and 5G connection — is now available in a more inexpensive package with the iPhone 12. The iPhone 12 Pro's above-and-beyond material design and photo and video-taking capabilities may not be necessary for everyone. Still, for most purchasers, the ordinary iPhone 12 is the greatest new iPhone all-around.
Much of it has to do with how Apple has improved the fundamentals in this area. The iPhone 12 sports a revolutionary OLED display that considerably outperforms the iPhone 11's grainy, low-resolution LCD panel. The iPhone 12 also features an appealing flat-edge motif and reduced bezels, reducing the handset's footprint even more to maximize screen real estate. We also enjoy Apple's new MagSafe initiative, giving accessories new life and allowing for faster and easier wireless charging than previous iPhones.
Of course, we wish Apple had included a charging adaptor in the box, as well as upped the phone's base capacity to 128GB. But, flaws and all, the iPhone 12 is a superb smartphone that will thrill any iPhone user.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is one of the greatest phone options if you're seeking a flagship at a reasonable price. With its elegant contour cut camera design that merges the camera into the back of the device, the S21 provides a terrific first impression. The cameras themselves are impressive, with improved portraits and a new Zoom Lock feature that improves results up to 30x zoom.
For its $799 price tag, the Galaxy S21 makes some compromises. There's no charger or microSD card slot in the box, and the rear is plastic rather than glass. However, the Samsung phone makes up for those flaws with a powerful Snapdragon 888 processor, a bigger fingerprint sensor for speedier unlocking, and exciting features like Single Take 2.0, which lets you take photographs and movies simultaneously.

The Google Pixel 4a is unique in that it provides practically everything you might want in a smartphone for only $349. It's also quite appealing given the price.
A magnificent 5.8-inch OLED screen, a Snapdragon 730G chipset, brilliant software features like Call Screen and Google's helpful Recorder live transcription tool, and, of course, that marvel of a 12-megapixel camera with Night Sight and Super Res Zoom round out Google's midrange offering. The only area in which the Pixel 4a falls short of the competition is battery life. Even while it has a larger battery than the iPhone SE, it still doesn't last as long on a charge. It also falls short of Apple's $399 iPhone in terms of performance. In almost every other way, though, Google's baby Pixel is a beautifully well-rounded smartphone that anyone searching for a cheap phone with the finest photography for the money should consider. The successor of the Pixel 5a is expected to arrive in the first half of this year, so plan. To get the most out of Samsung's Galaxy S20 series, you don't have to spend $1,000 or more. With just minimal concessions, the $699 Samsung Galaxy S20 FE preserves the greatest features of Samsung's flagships, making it one of the best phones for the money. (This is especially true if the S20 FE is available at a reduced price now that the S21 variants are available.)
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE features a large 6.5-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 5G connectivity, and a Snapdragon 865 processor. The phone's triple camera setup, which incorporates a powerful 3x optical zoom and an astonishing 30x spatial zoom, is one of our favorite.
You'll have to make do with a plastic back rather than glass, as well as a slower charger than the normal Galaxy S20, but both compromises are well worth it. If you want high-end features without the exorbitant price of most other flagship phones, this is the Galaxy S20 variant to get.

The iPhone 11 offers extremely fantastic low-light shots with Night Mode for a very reasonable $699, plus there's a new ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view that allows you to squeeze in more subjects or scenes. With a 12-megapixel camera that automatically adjusts to a wider perspective when the phone is in landscape mode, you can take better selfies.
The iPhone 11's 6.1-inch LCD isn't as good as the newer iPhone 12's OLED display, but it's vibrant and brilliant. The iPhone 11 is a winner thanks to its powerful A13 Bionic processor, excellent battery life, and six color options. It's also a better value now that the iPhone 12 is out because Apple will keep selling the iPhone 11 for $100 less than previously, bringing the price down to just $599.
