It is a third important thing in any living organism to provide energy, development, maintain their life, and stimulate their growth after the first and second things in the human body such as air and water. It is a most complex set of chemicals. It helps us to prevent diseases and promotion of health. There are three main types of foods are:
1. Bodybuilding food
2. Energy giving food
3. Protective foods
Bodybuilding food:
Proteins are considered to be a body-building food that they help in maintaining body weight and body growth. It also helps us in repairing damaged parts of your body.
Energy giving foods:
Energy-giving foods are made up of carbohydrates and fats or lipids. Carbohydrates provide us instant energy, while fats or lipids store energy in your body. Fats or lipids are stored in adipose tissues.
Protective foods:
Protective foods include vitamins and minerals, since they protect our bodies from disease. They protect us from disease-causing germs. Vitamins are a group of substances that are required for normal cell function or growth and development, while minerals are the elements on the earth to maintain their function and development of our body parts. Vitamins are divided into two categories
1. Fat-soluble vitamins
2. Water-soluble vitamins
Fat-soluble vitamins:
Fats soluble vitamins are not dissolved in water, but they dissolve in fats or oily substances. These types of vitamins are stored in the liver, fatty tissue, and muscles. The four major fat-soluble vitamins are vitamins A, D, E, and K. These vitamins are easily absorbed in the body in the presence of dietary fat.
