'The Mall' is the city's main shopping street and the hub where tourists and locals like to meet, shop, and eat. This area also has many clubs and bars for those looking to take things up a notch.

The famous idyllic party location should not be missed, and it is still one of the most popular and beautiful places to visit in India. If you decide to go on a trip, I recommend staying within the island's coastal areas. Goa is India's smallest state, but it has by far the most beautiful beaches – make the most of them while you're here.
Many people refer to Goa as a tropical paradise, and you'll probably agree if you're here enjoying the warm temperatures, clear turquoise water, and palm trees. This location has a distinct beauty of its own. Mumbai, formally known as Bombay, is India's most populous city. Varanasi is the place to go if you want to capture the essence of Hindu spirituality. Walking along the Ganges ghats in this Uttar Pradesh city is an experience that no visitor will ever forget.
While this city is vibrant, it is fundamentally about death and rebirth. During the day, you can observe public cremation ceremonies on the Ganges, and at night, you can witness the Hindu aarti ritual. Aarti is a form of puja (worship) in which light is offered to the gods at various ghats.
Sadhus, babas, and aphorism and holy men (known as sadhus) spend their days at the ghats. Sadhus are holy men who wear orange robes, babas are spiritual gurus, and aphorism drinks the blood of the dead and covers themselves in cremation ashes.
Be cautious because not all of them have good intentions. It is common for holy men to be naked and covered in powder or ashes; some adorn their penises and even perform tricks for tourists with them. Varanasi is not for the faint of heart.

The backwaters are a beautiful chain of lakes and lagoons along the Arabian Sea coast. They are a place in India that should not be missed – they are considered India's number one tourist destination. Some ferries will take you anywhere, and you can even rent a houseboat to stay in.
Boat races are also held in Alappuzha's Kuttanad region, where you can see snake boats that can hold up to a hundred rowers. Thousands of fans line the riverbanks to cheer on their favorite teams, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

Amritsar is a city near India's border with Pakistan that serves as the beating heart of Punjab and a major place of worship for Sikhs. The Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) is considered the holiest shrine in Sikhism and attracts visitors worldwide to marvel and worship. Many visitors return to the temple after dark to hear the sounds of prayer emanating from it.
Everyone who visits the temple is welcome to sit down for a free meal, known as langar, which is served to 50,000 people every day by hundreds of volunteers. Because of the scale, the food is prepared in vats, and each plate is washed 5 times afterward. Don't miss the Wagah-Attari border ceremony in the early evening.
This is an elaborate ceremony performed by the Indian and Pakistani militaries to demonstrate the nations' comradeship.

Delhi is one of the most chaotic cities globally, but it also contains some of the most incredible architecture in the world. The stunning Akshardham Temple is one of these unforgettable structures, and unlike the others, it is best seen at night.
Its name means "God's divine abode," and not only does the pool around it reflect the sunset, but the carved stone is illuminated to highlight its grandeur. It's just down the river from the Red Fort and across the bridge from Humayun's Tomb, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites worth visiting.

While many cities are named for obscure reasons, Jaipur certainly lives up to its moniker as the "pink city."
While there are many beautiful buildings in the pink city, such as the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, the Hawa Mahal is the show's star. Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh built this magnificent five-story frontage so that Royal ladies could watch the comings and goings of the city streets.
