Top 10 Applications for Artificial Intelligence

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Aug.12, 2021 / PRNewswire / - CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the global technology industry and workforce, today announced the release of its 2021 Emerging Technology Top list 10, which focuses on key business applications related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

CompTIA's emerging technology community, recognizing a gap between the promise and benefits of emerging technologies, shifted the focus of the annual Emerging Technology List to uncover key use cases for AI and IoT rather than a single list of classified technologies.

The emerging technology community used CompTIA data from a recent quantitative study that consisted of an online survey of professionals conducted in February 2021. A total of 400 US-based companies participated in the survey and identified the most common use cases for IoT and AI. . The emerging tech community then narrowed this list down to five use cases for each technology based on member feedback and experience.

“We challenged ourselves to be as relevant as possible, considering input from members of our community and being prescriptive with recommendations,” said Greg Plum, senior vice president of strategic alliances for Markee. io and chairman of the board. “We have made a conscious effort this year to move to a more practical model - allowing our audience to understand not only the types of emerging technologies but also how they are being harnessed and monetized right now. Emerging technologies like AI and IoT will account for a large part of that investment, which IDC estimates at $ 656 billion worldwide this year. "
