India's great batsman Sachin Tendulkar believes that there is no shortcut to achieving success and you have to work hard to fulfil your dreams. Sachin said this while interacting with students at a school in western Maharashtra on Friday 25 October.
Speaking to children in Marathi language, Sachin said, "When I was a student, the only thing on my mind was to play for India. My journey started at the age of 11".
He said, "I still remember that the selectors did not select me when I went for the trial for my first selection. They said he would have to work hard and improve his game."
Sachin said, "I was disappointed at that time because I felt that I batted well but the result was not as expected and I was not selected. After that my concentration, determination, and hard work's ability increased. Shortcuts won't help if you want to fulfil your dreams."
Sachin called his family and childhood coach Ramakant Achrekar's contribution important for his long career. He said, "I want to attribute my success in cricket to my family and all the members. My parents, my brothers Ajit and Nitin who came forward to support me and supported me."
Sachin said, "My elder sister, who now lives in Pune after marriage, also supported me a lot. She gave me the first cricket bat of my life."
Significantly, Sachin Tendulkar played many cricket matches for India and also became the master blaster of cricket. Sachin has got all this with his hard work and perseverance.
Sachin Tendulkar always corrected his mistakes by looking at them and not looking for any shortcut of any kind.
