BACTERIOLOGY
Bacteriology is the area of biology that focuses on studying bacteria and all of their various characteristics of them, including their morphology, ecology, genetics, and biochemistry. The identification, categorization, and characterization of bacterial species are part of this branch of microbiology. [1] There has been a trend for the area of bacteriology to become known as microbiology due to the similarities in how those who study and interact with microorganisms other than bacteria, such as protozoa, fungi, and viruses, think and operate. [2] In the past, people frequently used the names interchangeably. [3] Bacteriology, on the other hand, can be categorized as a separate science.
VIROLOGY
The scientific study of biological viruses is known as virology. It is a branch of microbiology that focuses on how microbes are found, structured, classified, and evolved. It also examines how they infect and use host cells for reproduction, how they interact with the physiology and immunity of the host, how they cause disease, how to isolate and culture them, and how to use them in research and therapy.
MYCOLOGY
The study of fungi, including their genetic and biochemical characteristics, their taxonomy, and their uses by humans—including as a source of pathogens, food, and tinder—as well as potential risks, such as toxicity or infection—is the subject of the field of biology known as mycology. A mycologist is a biologist who focuses on fungi.
Because fungi make up the majority of plant pathogens, mycology branches out into the study of plant diseases, or animals. The two fields continue to be closely related.
IMMUNOLOGY
The medical study of immune systems[3] in all species is covered by the field of immunology, which is a subfield of medicine[1] and biology[2]. [4] From this, we can see that in veterinary medicine and animal biosciences, human immunology and comparative immunology differ from one another. Immunology is a branch of medicine that quantifies and categorizes and studies immunity at the cellular and molecular size as well as the immune system as a component of the physiological level because of the significance of its function. The functioning of the immune system and immunological responses such as autoimmune diseases[5] allergic hypersensitivities[6] or in some cases, the immune system malfunctioning as in immunological disorders or immune deficiency[7]and the specific transplant rejection[8] in the different states of both health, occurring symptoms, and diseases;
SEROLOGY
The scientific study of serum and other bodily fluids is known as serology. In actual usage, the phrase usually refers to the diagnostic detection of serum antibodies. Such antibodies are frequently produced in response to an infection (against a specific microorganism)[2] against other foreign proteins (for example, in response to an unsuitable blood transfusion), or against one's proteins (in instances of autoimmune disease). Both ways, the process is straightforward.
ENTOMOLOGY
Entomology, a subfield of zoology, is the scientific study of insects. The term is derived from the Ancient Greek words "uncommon" for "insect" and "mosquitos" for "study of"[1]. The name "insect" used to be less specific, and entomology used to refer to the study of animals belonging to other arthropod groups, such as arachnids, myriapods, and crustaceans. In informal usage, it is still possible to run into this broader meaning.
