Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, it houses a 108-foot-tall idol of the deity. Due to its location on the highest point of Shimla, it offers sweeping views of the Shivalik ranges. 

 

2. Place to visit in Shimla-The Mall Road ( Free Tour)

The Mall is where most of Shimla's shops and people converge. It is a pedestrian street, about 7 km long, where lots of shops sell beautiful toys, costumes, clothes, sweats, jewelry, and many more items. You do not need to spend more money there as there are lots of reasonable items available which will touch your heart. 

You don't need to visit any fancy hotel or restaurant to have meals. You can have the street food there, fabulous and yummy in taste for the meager price. Street food would be the best choice for reasonably fantastic hygenic food.

 

3. Kali Bari Temple (Free Tour)

This Temple is situated near the scandal point. The Kali Bari temple is peaceful and has a nice view of Shimla jak tara Devi and other nearby hills. There is a guest house also if you want to stay. You have to pay a reasonable amount for that. The temple is small, and the view of Shimla town from the temple premises is beautiful.

 

4. Place to visit in Shimla- Christ church (Free Tour)

This church was the first church to be built in Simla and the second oldest in North India. This church is lovely. The building is well maintained, and you can admire the beauty of the stained glass windows from the interior, which indicates Faith, Love, Peace, and Charity. There are no charges to enter and to visit there.

 

5. Place to visit in Shimla- Scandal Point (Free Tour)

This is just a small area at the end of the Ridge. It's called this because a minor king of the area allegedly met the daughter of a Viceroy, which caused a scandal. The king was then banished from Shimla.

Nice location to the view of Shimla, you can here shop as well. There are some good food shops nearby this point and also souvenir shops. A definite must-visit while you are roaming across mall road. This is one of the tourist places in Shimla, which is located near City Mall road. It is always crowded as this point is on the way to Christ Church and Jakhu Temple, also famous tourist places in Shimla city. The view from Scandal Point is breathtaking.

 The best time for the visit would be the evening. As here, the lighting and environment are super cool. It has stunning views to take pictures of.
