How does the human brain work?

As we all know that of all living creatures, humans are the smartest and most intelligent. But the question is, why are humans more brilliant than the others animals. This is due to the power of the braBrainThe Human Brain is the most advance and exceptional creation of nature. The Brain is the control center of the human body. All activities performed by the human body, whether voluntary or involuntary, are controlledBrainhe Brain. The Brain can process and coordinate different actions and store information. That's why we can do good work.

Brain

Human Brain is composed of approximately a 100million nerve cells. Nerve cells or neurons are the basic structural and functionBrainit of the Brain. The sizBrainhuman Brain is about 1500gram.

Brain is enclosed in the hard skull. The outer pBrainf the Brain is covered by three protective layers dura matter, Archinoid matter, and pia mater collectively called meninges. The function of these layers is to print the Brain from injury and trauma.

Parts of the Brain and their functions

There are three major parts of the brain forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain.

1. Forebrain

Forebrain is the biggest and highly developed pBrainf Brain. The forebrain is further divided into two parts telencephalon and diencephalon. The telencephalon consists of the "Cerebrum," also called the cerebral hemisphere. The diencephalon is again divided into five subdivisions thalamus Hypothalamus, the amygdala, and the hippocampus collectively called the limbic system.

Cerebrum

Cerebrum is the giant par brain Cerebrum. The Cerebrum is composed of several floods. Cerebrum is divided in two cerebral hemispheres. Left hemispheres and right hemisphere. These two hemispheres are connected through a nerve fiber called corpus callosum. The left cerebral hemisphere controls the right side of the body, and the right cerebral hemisphere controls the left side of the body.

The functCerebrumhe Cerebrum controls learning, thinking, memory, judgments, reasoning, and decision-making.

Thalamus

Thalamus act as a relay station betweeCerebrumnd cerebrum. It receives all the information coming from different parts of the body and conveysCerebrumhe Cerebrum.

Hypothalamus

Hypothalamus is the third part of the forebrain. All the hormones produced in the body are controlled Hypothalamus. Hypothalamus also controls temperature, hunger, thrust, sexual response flight and fight response.

Amygdala

Amygdala is responsible for happiness, sexual arousal, and punishment.

Hippocampus

Hippocampus helps in remembering long term memories and learning.

2_Midbrain

Midbrain is a small and vital pBrainf Brain. It act as a relay and coordination station. The midbrain first receives information from different parts of the body, and after a few seconds stay, they are conveyed to the forebrain.

3_Hindbrain

Hindbrain is divided in three parts cerebellum, pons, and medulla oblongata.

Cerebellum

The cerebellum is the second largest pBrainf Brain. It is consists of three lobs. The function of cerebellum is to control balance and muscle activities.

Medulla oblongata

Medulla oblongata act as a highwBraintween brain and body. The medulla oblongata controls all the involuntary actions such as heartbeat, breathing, digestion, blood circulation, etc.

Pons

Pons is the smallest part of the hindbrain. Pons act as a bridge between the cerebellum, medulla oblCerebrumd Cerebrum. It conveys information between this three paBrainf the Brain. Pons also controls the rate of breathing, sleep and wake cycle of the body.
