Substitutes, It means that if there is only agriculture there is no need of industry, or if there is industry so agriculture is not important. Agriculture and industries are not substitutes of each other.
They are complimentary to one another,means both are necessary for each other. We cannot increase the growth of one sector, when we dont increase the growth of another sector.
If we increase the growth of agriculture , we can increase the growth of industries.
Because the growth of agriculture depends on the growth of industries and the growth of industries depends on the growth of agriculture.

The impact of agriculture on industry is hugely positive because industries are came into being after the agriculture. Agriculture is the base for industries.
Agriculture provides raw materials to the industries, such as wheat, sugarcane, cotton, jute, tobacco, oilseeds etc..
The industry needs raw materials for production when raw materials are in large number industries grow up and increase the production which is beneficial for the industries and it generates more revenue.
Agriculture supplies fruits, vegetables and other foods to industries. Industries make juice from the fruits and vegetables and makes other things from foods, and make final goods for domestic animals in the dairy industries on regular basis.
Farmers which earn money from the agriculture , and then they save money in the banks or other financial institutions.
The industries owners may use that money in further investment to increase the industries profit , and can use that money on the equipments that are used in the agriculture sectors to increase the raw material.
They can use that money on the raw materials which leads to increase in the production. Agriculture provides market for the final goods, industry make final goods from the raw materials which extend the market.
Agriculture is seasonal sector, means that in a year agriculture provides seasonal raw materials. In summer agriculture provides different type of raw materials, different fruits and different vegetable in winter it provides different foods. So agriculture supplies seasonal manpower to the seasonal industries like ice factory, rice factory, and sugarmills etc...
The income which is generated from the agriculture is mostly used for the industrial such as cars, laptops , mobiles bike etc...
Agriculture sector increase the demand for the fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, tractors, harvesters, and tubewells which help to develop chamical, machanical and hydrological industries.
