They are developing new models as well as new features on existing models that may make flyers feel more comfortable.

MC-21-300

Russia is testing the mc21 300 under cold weather conditions in Siberia to ensure it can operate in the country's extreme climate. The standard mc21 300 has a capacity of 132 to 163 passengers in a 2-class configuration and 165-211 in a first-class and a range of up to 3200 - 3500 nautical miles.

The program was launched in 2007, they rolled out the first mc21 300 on 8th June 2016 and first flew the a/c on 28th May 2017. Right now, the Russian airframe. The specification includes;

MC-21-400

This is the Russian single-aisle twin-jet airliner developed by the Yakovlev design bureau and produced by its parent and a branch of the united aircraft corporation. This aircraft features the larger fuselage and thus the larger seating capacity of the three mc21 launch models. It is a narrow body airliner intended to transport 230 passengers on routes up to, 4500 km and cruising at 870 km/hr. Its engine power is 40,000 pounds force for a 105 metric tons maximum take-off weight.

CR AIC CR929

CR929 is a long-range wide-body airliner project. The cr929 will have 3 versions, The first cr929 500, which has a capacity of 250 passengers. The Second cr929 600 has a capacity of 280 passengers and the third cr929 700, has a capacity of 320 passengers. Construction of the first prototype began by September 2021 and the first flight of the cr929 is planned in 2023 deliveries to airlines. The CR929 will begin in 2027.

COM AC C919

There will be 2 variants, The standard version with a 2200 nautical miles range and 2999 nautical miles extended range version. It will also be able to carry 156 to 168 passengers in a normal operating configuration up to 3000 nautical miles.

The design calls for crews at 834 km/hr with an operating ceiling of 12,200 meters. It had made its maiden flight on 5th May 2017 and the aircraft is to be powered by either CFM international leap or ACAE CJ 1000a turbofan engines. This is a narrow-body airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer COM AC.

Airbus A321XLR

This is a long-range single-aisle airliner derived from the a321 Neo jetliner. It can carry 180-220 passengers. Modified landing gear for an increased maximum take-off weight of 101 metric tons and an optimized wing trailing edge flat configuration to preserve take-off performance.

This aircraft is expected to enter service by 2023 and was unveiled at the June 2019 Paris air show with 4700 nautical miles including a new permanent near sanded tank RCT for more fuel. Aerodynamics enhancing sharpens on the wing and its fuel-efficient engines, ensure outstanding environmental performance.

Boeing 737 MAX 10

The max10 includes the latest technology's CFM international leap 1b engines, advanced technology wing-lets Boeing sky interior big flight deck displays, and other upgrades to achieve the highest efficiency. It was launched on June 19th, 2017, with 240 orders and commitments from more than 10 customers. The variants made their maiden flight on 18th June 2021 initiating their flight test and certification program. Similar to Boeing's previous 737 MAX Models.

Boeing 777-9

This is a new version encompassing state-of-the-art technology's 787 airliners and powered by the more efficient General Electric GE 9x engine. The first flight of 777-9 was on 25th January 2020, and it is expected to enter the service in 2023.

This engine is expected to deliver a 5% increase in efficiency, which will contribute to the lower operating cost. The 777-9 is to supersede the 76.25 meter Boeing 747-8 as the longest airliner. The Boeing 777-9 has 76.7 meters in length, which is 2.9 meters longer than the 300-er. It will feed typically 426 passengers over a range of, 7285 nautical miles.

Boeing 777-8

This is a shortened derivative of the 777-9 has a length of 229 ft. Features advanced technology from the new 777x family and the proven performance of the market-leading 777 freighters. The 777-8 freighter will be the longest range and the most capable twin-engine freighter in the industry.

It would see typically 384 passengers with a range of, 8730 nautical miles. It would succeed the ultra-long-range 200lr, to compete with the airbus a350 1000. It is scheduled to enter the service in 2023.

Boeing 777-10X

Boeing is proposing to stretch the 777 by four rows of seats to accommodate 450 passengers in a 777-10X variant to compete with the airbus a380 superjumbo. The potential 80 meters long 777-10X is also competing against the hypothetical stretch of the a350 1000 for Singapore Airlines.

As yet, its development has not been green-lighted and is still awaiting some interest from potential customers.

Boom Overture

 This is a proposed Mach 1.7 passenger supersonic airliner with, 4250 nautical miles of range that is planned to be introduced in 2029 by Boom technology. In 2021, boom presents a length of 62 meters with a capacity of 65-88 passengers.

The aircraft is intended to run 1000% sustainable aviation fuel SAF. It is planned to have a delta wing configuration, but will be built with a composite material. It will be powered by three dry 15,000 - 20,000 pounds of its turbofans.
