Kauravas also learned archery from Guru Drona. One day Guru Drona thought of testing him and took him to the forest for that purpose. He walked a long way and stopped in some forest. It was a tall and big tree. Guru Drona told the five Pandavas and the Kauravas that today they all have an archery test.

 

 They want to see how well they have done with what they have been taught so far. Pandavas and Kauravas are ready. Guru Drona hung a fake bird on a tree and said to all the princes, "You must aim at the eye of the bird hanging on the tree. Are you all dressed?" The Pandava-Kaurava princes agreed. Guru Drona asked andquot;Are you ready?andquot; Yudhishthir agreed yes. Then Guru Drona pointed to that tree and asked: Tell me, what do you see in that tree? "Gurudev, I see a big tree with many branches. The branches have lush green leaves. Birds have made a nest in the tree. A fake bird hangs on your branch. Yudhishthira has given a complete description.

Guru Drona said, "Yudhishthira, you are not yet ready for this test. Go back and stand up. andquot; Yudhishthira left. Guru Drona called Bhima forward and repeated the same question andquot;Tell me, Bhima, what do you see in that tree!andquot; Bhima took two steps forward and said, “I have this earth, sky, dense forest, everything my brother Gurudev. Let's look at that thick tree with leaves and a bird hanging from it.andquot; Guru Drona said, “Bhima, you are not yet fully prepared for this test.

Finally Arjun came forward. Guru Drona repeated the same question: "Tell me, Arjun! what do you see and quot; Arjuna gave the arrow and answered, andquot;I see only the bird and the eye.andquot; Guru Drona said: andquot;Aim.andquot; Arjun reached the target and the arrow pierced the bird and the eye. 

 

Guru Drona explained to all the princes that if you are trying to achieve a goal, you must concentrate completely on the goal. Nothing but the target should be visible. This is the basic mantra to achieve any goal. If you are busy with several tasks at the same time, you will never be able to reach your goal. So focus only on the goal.
