Going through the history it has been well known that a person capable of not expressing its feelings to the world where every passing man is looking for a prey for his/her own benefits thus a person with emotional intelligence although it was an unknown fact back then but still it was useful so the reason behind talking all this is to motivate you, to guide you and to enlighten you with the idea of Emotional Intelligent Person.

To become one you have to observant, practice, experiment, ask others. All of the above ways are just kindergarten lessons but how to become one you have to look for it, find people with the respective capabilities and learn from the experts.

Figuring out how to build our emotional intelligence is an art form. It's not the same for everyone, and we all learn and grow if we are willing to accept the challenge.

There is no shortcut.

Empathy. Since empathy is an important component of emotional intelligence, this means learning and understanding what emotional empathy is and what it feels like to empathize with another's emotions. This can be challenging because it requires putting yourself (and your heart) in the other person's shoes.

There is a difference between cognitive empathy (being able to recognize and name what someone is feeling) and emotional empathy (actually putting yourself in the other person's shoes) to experience their pain, joy, and fear.

Practicing developing emotional empathy means coming to terms with being vulnerable, and that in itself is a process. No one wants to feel emotionally exposed, because that puts you in a vulnerable position - you can be laughed at, rejected, hurt, or ignored.

But it's also the only way to truly understand another person's perspective and feelings.

If you want to improve your emotional empathy, start by recognizing your own behavior and understanding how it affects others. Recall when you said or did something that deeply hurt someone. Imagine how your behavior might have affected the other person and put yourself in their shoes, their pain, their anger, or whether they felt betrayed or hurt by you.

To grow, we must be flexible and willing to be uncomfortable in the process of becoming aware, which means emotionally adjusting in the parts of personal growth that can be painful. It is in the most painful moments that we often grow the most. But if we don't allow ourselves to feel pain, anger, shame, or vulnerability, we can't grow.

The goal is to build emotional strength.... To develop emotional intelligence.
