The Apple MacBook Pro is one of my favorite laptops on the market, and I’ve used it for many months. The laptop offers a Retina display with gorgeous colors and brightness that can get me through even long work days. It also has a solid build while still being light enough to carry with me everywhere. And thanks to its recent price drop, it’s more affordable than ever before. When you factor in its excellent battery life and great specs (including 8 GB of RAM), there’s not much else you could ask for in a laptop.

The new laptop, is a product of exhaustive research and analysis. It’s a fusion of different features that, if you buy it for yourself, will transform you into someone who has just gotten their hands on one of, if not THE best laptop ever made. Its affordability and versatility make it ideal for people who are willing to take risks with their electronics, but also need all-around quality. The Surface Book 2 is likely to entice anyone looking to jump into Windows computing, as well as garner attention from Mac users. It’s an investment that is certainly worth your time and money in 2018.
3) XPS 13 9370 Dell
The XPS 13 9370 is a shining example of what a laptop should be in 2018: thin, light, and packed with power. It also has one of my favorite displays around—it’s vibrant, easy to read at any angle, and gets bright, so you can work in any lighting conditions. Oh, and it now features an option for Ubuntu Linux too. In short, it has everything I want from a modern laptop. And then some. Just don’t expect it to be cheap—the XPS 13 starts at $1,200 (though you can configure it up to $2,400). Even so, I think it’s worth every penny because every computer should be as good as Dell's flagship machine.
4) Zen Book Flip 14 (Asus)
Asus’ Zen Book Flip 14 (UX461UA) is one of our favorite laptops under $1,000. This lightweight, 2-in-1 laptop combines all the perks of a tablet-like touchscreen and an ultraportable form factor with those of a full computer. The Zen Book Flip 14 features an Intel Core i5 processor, a 1 TB solid-state drive, and 8 GB of RAM, while its keyboard’s backlighting makes it easy to work in low-light conditions or on planes and trains where overhead lights are not available. It also has two USB ports and an SD card reader, so you can easily import images or documents directly from your camera or phone if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi.

The Matebook X Pro is one of our favorite laptops from 2018. Huawei, a Chinese electronics company that’s best known for its smartphones, has built an incredibly premium Windows 2-in-1. It combines a stunning design with excellent hardware and performance for an impressively low price.

8) Racer Blade Stealth (2017 Model)
The Racer Blade Stealth is an impressive combination of raw power and portability. Despite being thin and light enough to fit in your backpack, it features a dedicated graphics card that makes it possible to edit videos or play high-end games like Doom and Shadow of Mordor without breaking. The battery life isn't great, but unlike many laptops on sale today, you won't have to wait hours for them to charge. The Blade Stealth doesn't have as many ports as some other ultraportable, but at least you get two USB-C slots, so you can connect peripherals like external hard drives or monitors. Racer laptop also has a responsive keyboard with individually backlit keys and a trackpad that feels natural thanks to its seamless design.

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced notebook that can do almost everything well, look no further than the Acer Aspire E 15.
