There are reports of two guys who died after drinking alcohol at a pub in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. 22 people died earlier this week reportedly after consuming industrial methanol.
The men have been identified as driver Vivek and fisherman Kuppasami.
Methanol, a lethal mixture created by illegal brewers, has been ruled out and the presence of cyanide has been established by forensic examination of samples taken from the bodies of the two males. The industrial chemical methanol smells like booze.
Police are looking into whether this was a murder or a suicide, according to Thanjavur Collector Dinesh Ponraj Oliver.
The opposition's claims that bars unlawfully sell alcohol were confirmed when it was stated that the bar had served alcohol even before the liquor store opened at 12 PM. This was a blatant infringement.

Ashish Rawat, the district superintendent of police, stated, "We are gathering evidence and the CCTV in the bar is not functioning."
