In the initial phase, he worked on artificial intelligence to increase the relevance of Twitter's tweets. Twitter's revenue and his engineering work on the consumer platform helped the company drive its audience growth in 2016-17.

Parag joined Twitter in the year 2011 as a software engineer. He later became the Chief Technology Officer of the company. Parag Agarwal did his engineering studies from IIT Bombay. After this, he did his doctorate from Stanford University. He did his schooling from Atomic Energy Central School. His wife Vine eta, Agrawal is a Venture Capitalist and Physician. He has a three-year-old-son.
Parag joined Twitter in the year 2011. Prior to this he was working with Microsoft, AT&T and Yahoo. His work in all three companies was research-oriented. He started by working on ad related products on Twitter. But, later, he started working on Artificial Intelligence.

Parag Agarwal was leading Twitter's Blue sky effort, which aimed to create an open and decentralized standard for social media. Hindustan Times quoted People AI as saying the estimated net worth of Parag Agarwal is $1.52 million i.e. Rs 11,41,91,596.

After being appointed as the CEO of Twitter, Parag Aggarwal has expressed his gratitude to Jack Dorsey on Twitter. He wrote that he is very honored and happy about his appointment. He has thanked Dorsey for his continued guidance and friendship.
Dorsey will remain on board
Jack Dorsey has resigned as CEO, but he will remain a board member of the company. Sharing a letter on his Twitter account, he has also expressed grief over leaving the post. However, in the letter, he has written that he is also very happy, and it is his own decision.
Dorsey said that after nearly 16 years of working at the company from co-founder to CEO, then president, executive chairman, interim-CEO to CEO, I decided it was finally time for me to leave. Parag Agarwal is becoming our CEO. Dorsey's term will end in 2022.
