The announcement of Jimin's upcoming album has been announced, much to the delight of the BTS ARMY. The album, Face, will be released in March.
This is BIGHIT MUSIC, read a statement that Big Hit issued. Jimin, a member of BTS, will release his debut solo album, titled FACE. In FACE, Jimin confronts himself squarely as he prepares for his next move as a solo artist. We kindly ask for your continuous interest in and support of Jimin's first official solo activity as he will interact with the fans through a variety of events, including the FACE release.
A first teaser with gloomy waters, a spotlight on a few drips, and the term Face forming was also released.
In a recent interview, Jimin talked candidly about his album, the much-discussed hiatus following the 2022 Festa, and the occasions when he "screamed and cried" out of frustration. Jimin continued by saying that he now finds it "more frightening" to create songs. He described himself as a "silly guy who likes to drink soju with his pals at a pojang macha (street stall) in a sweatsuit" when asked about the "core of Jimin".
Jimin reflected on the enormous success and transformations that BTS has undergone over the past ten years. "To be really honest, both BTS and I have gone through a lot of changes lately. And because I persevered through those changes, I reasoned that by recording my feelings and ideas at the time, I would be better prepared to deal with similar circumstances in the future. I spent some time reflecting on them, especially the kinds of thoughts that had previously made me feel joyful or stressed.

I've heard more wonderful messages from my followers than most people hear throughout their entire lives, he continued, and I'll never be able to reciprocate their generosity. And I can still hear them right now. There's also my boss, who gave me a hug and apologized for not understanding what I was going through, the staff members who wept with me, friends who simply showed up to be by my side at my house for a few days, and my family. When the other members simply reassure me that everything is fine, it gives me the most strength and simultaneously makes me feel very sorry for myself.
In collaboration with BTS, Jimin has released three solo songs: Lying in 2016, Serendipity in 2017, and Filter in 2020. He co-wrote and co-composed Promise, his debut independent single, which was published in 2018. Also, he performed the song With You for the Korean film Our Blues.
