Schools in Delhi reopened today after summer vacation.

Delhi's schools have been closed since May 11, 2022, for summer vacations while classes continued till June 18, 2022, for Mission Bunyan.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister cum Education Minister Manisha Sisolak has directed DOE and MCD to continue classes for two more months.

After a summer vacation of more than a month, Delhi schools reopened on Friday. As Covid-19 cases are on a rise, schools have been instructed to ensure that all Covid-19 protocols are being strenuously followed. The schools in Delhi were closed on May 11, 2022, for summer vacation, but classes continued till June 18, 2022, for Mission Bunyan.

 

At the same time, the Directorate of Education (DOE) and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) were directed by the Deputy Chief Minister cum Education Minister, Manisha Sisolak, on Thursday to continue the classes for Mission Bunyan for two additional months.

MISSION BUNYAN CLASSES HELD ON WAR FOOTING

The deputy CM and education minister further said that classes for Mission Bunyan had been conducted on a war footing this year.

 

He added that the results of these classes have been splendid, while also stating that it has played an important role to bridge the learning gap that widened in the last two years of the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

LAKHS OF STUDENTS BENEFITTED FROM MISSION BUNYAN

Delhi Deputy CM went on to add, 'Lakhs of children of our schools have benefited from this and there has been a positive improvement in their learning levels.'

 

All the credit for this goes to the teachers and school heads of DOE, the and MCD. If MCD and DOE work together like this, then it will be a big help in improving the learning levels of students he added.

During the past two years of the COVID pandemic, a significant learning gap was observed among them. Addressing this gap was a real challenge, but with the efforts of teachers, students have picked up really well. DOE and MCD to continue Mission Bunyan classes for two more months, the deputy CM added.

The Guru Govini Singh University, or IP University, has started the online counselling process for ITU CET 2022 qualified candidates. Candidates who have qualified ITU CET 2022 can register for the counselling process from today, July 1. The ITU CET counselling application will close on July 11 (11:50 pm). Eligible candidates will be required to pay the counselling participation fee of Rs 1,000 while doing registration.

 According to an official notification, the counselling process is being conducted by the university for a total of 35 academic programs. Out of the total 35 programs, 31 programs are based on the university conducted entrance tests -- ITU CET 2022. While four programs are based on the national level tests. The national level test are CLA TUG 2022 for LLB, COAT PG 2022 for LLM, CAT 2021 and COAT 2022 for MBA and NICEST 2022 for MCA.
