Foreign this is the Samsung Galaxy fold 4 the best folding phone in the world right now so let's go through some tips tricks and hidden features starting with tablet mode. So Samsung has honestly turned this Beast into a real tablet thanks to this new taskbar it makes difference what this taskbar does is keeps all your favorite apps at the bottom, so you can quickly and easily switch between all of them without ever having to go to the home screen the great thing is you can also customize the taskbar to however you want by removing your kind of the least used apps and adding things like Spotify and Instagram you can have 8 apps in total on the taskbar, and honestly it's hard to remember this phone without having this then if you ever wanted to access all these apps while in an application you can just tap on this little menu icon or right here and just like that you instantly have access to all your apps it also has this little section where it displays your most recently opened apps right there, so you can quickly and easily switch between the apps you're currently using if they're not saved in the taskbar that is a sweet way to navigate, but this bad boy can also work with the S Pen old Edition. So here's the thing if you want to tap into all the features of the fold then you're going to want to get the S Pen fold Edition because with it if you tap on the screen you get this whole S Pen menu where you can do a lot of different things and if you click on this plus icon you can add even more things to do with it aside from being able to quickly and easily jot down notes you can write on your calendar you can select a super specific screenshot. Write out live messages and in notes, if you tap on this icon no matter what it is you jot down in notes it'll instantly take your handwriting and transcribe it into text, but those are just the basics to get even more specific you can scratch out any word, and it'll delete it if you want to add another letter or correct some spelling you can just tap the cursor wherever you want, and add it to join a word just add a dash between the two words or if you do this little card symbol it'll add space but the crazy cool thing about the S Pen is you can use it to create any GIF if you tap on Smart selection you get this option to create a GIF then you can drag the corners to whatever it is you want to capture hit that record button and In a couple of seconds it'll create the perfect GIF that you can download save or share with friends I mean that was so easy then another cool thing you can do is head into settings tap on the search icon and type in S Pen right here if you swipe up a little bit you will see this option that says S Pen to text and make sure you toggle this on so now anytime there's a search bar or text field you can just use the Nifty S Pen instead of the keyboard but enough about the S Pen let's take a look at these cameras to get this the folding phone now comes with a massive 50 megapixel main camera that's a pretty big update from the 12 megapixel camera that we had on the fault 4. And to use all 50 of those beautiful megapixels you can just head into the aspect ratio settings and select the three by four 50 megapixel option and the picture quality is pretty good, definitely a nice upgrade from the previous model, the fold 3. Another thing I love about this phone is if you select the selfie viewfinder icon right here and turn the fold 4 around you'll be able to see what's happening on the cover screen this makes it so convenient, so the other person can see how they look and pose for the perfect pick but if you take a close look there's this little selfie icon and if you tap on that you can now take selfies with the main camera, and actually it is really convenient for some high quality selfies and speaking of selfies Samsung once again have done a great job at hiding this camera under the display, although the picture quality of that selfie camera is not amazing it's also not that bad especially considering there's literally pixels going over the camera, so they've done a great job at hiding it another feature I really love within camera is if you tap on this icon it opens up gallery view so as you take your pictures on the left-hand side it instantly displays them for you and when you're done you can just quick and easily zoom in a bit by doing a pinch or open them up fully to check the details and just make sure you really got that perfect pick on to multitasking and as you can imagine you can multitask like a beast with this phone from the app menu you can drag and drop any application into a split screen view just like this, and you can also drag in a third app and use every single one of them simultaneously you might notice the taskbar actually takes up a lot of space, but there's a couple new and hidden settings inside advanced features under Labs that can make multitasking a lot better so make sure you go ahead and toggle on all four of these settings and now if you go ahead and drag and drop an application into split screen view you will see it takes up the entire screen, so you've got all this juicy real estate for your applications than if you drag one finger down from the top right-hand corner it instantly turns that app into a pop-up app, and then you can just move it to anywhere on your screen you can resize it to be small and again place it in a nice convenient spot you can adjust the window sizes of each application as well and if you click on these three little dots and tap the shuffle icon it rearranges the order of your split screen so no matter what setup or layout of the app should like it's so simple to do, and you can also save your split screens, so you can quick and easily access them whenever you want, but that's only the main screen what about the front cover screen so if you've got any app open on the main screen you can actually close the fold 4 and continue with the same app on the cover screen you do just need to make sure this is toggled on So within settings under display if you scroll down you will see continue apps on cover screen it's so simple just toggle on all applications and now anytime you're busy with an app on the cover screen or inside screen, and you open or close you'll have some beautiful app continuity and here's another cool setting under display if you go into screen layout and zoom you can choose to toggle off multi-view and have it on standard view or vice versa, so it's up to you whether you like to have the settings on the left-hand side and you can also change the screen zoom size of course both the front and back display are also insanely good but under Advance features in video brightness you can make them even better by toggling on bright because now what happens is when you have a fairly dimmed screen if you open up any video or media it'll brighten up the screen and when you go back to home it'll dim again so that's all for pretty amazing, but there is still a lot more you can actually do with the screen like turn it into a laptop, so it's quite crazy after all those features you still get different flex modes like this one where you can essentially turn your phone into a mini laptop the keyboard sits in the perfect position for typing, but you can also connect a Bluetooth mouse and use it on this phone just like you would with a laptop you can scroll select open apps or files and then even connect an SSD drive to your phone once you plug it in it'll instantly show up in files, and again you can surf your SSD drive just like you would on a laptop except you're on your folding phone it's Madness but also so cool you then also get tank mode where if you're watching something and want to stand your phone up you can just open it up to roughly 45 degrees place it on the table, and you're good to go then there's also camera stand mode, so again you just slightly fold your phone place it down on any tabletop, and you can take some amazing pictures using that huge 50 megapixel camera all completely hands-free, so this phone can turn into a tablet a mini laptop and a tent pretty cool but wait until you see what you can do with the keyboard and straight off the bat the fault 4 comes with the split keyboard I personally love it because it feels like you're typing on a normal phone and the cool thing is you can actually customize it so if you click on that settings icon then go down to size and transparency in here believe it or not you can totally adjust the size placement and also transparency of the split keyboard so whether you have really short thumbs or long terms you can adjust this to perfectly suit your hands for the best and nicest typing experience if you want the normal keyboard back you can just tap on that icon and the BAM your keyboard is as good as standard and finally if you tap on this icon it'll change your keyboard to the floating one which you can move to anywhere on the screen and use it there if you want to place it back into the main full keyboard drag down or hold a few seconds and that's it and the crazy thing about these different layouts is they work with g board as well, so you can customize your keyboard however you want and just get it to suit your style and speaking about style let me show you how you can customize your fold 4. Now did you know with the fold for you can actually choose a different wallpaper for each screen so if you're going to wallpaper and settings and select one for your inside screen you can then close it and run through the exact same settings on the cover screen and choose a completely different wallpaper interestingly you need to run-through those settings on each individual screen to get it right you can't just do it in one so just keep that in mind for more customization settings you can also go to cover screen mirroring if you turn this on anything with regard to applications or widgets that you create on the cover screen will mirror on the inside screen and also vice versa and by the way Samsung will also release a huge customization update very soon, so I suggest you subscribe and watch the space but for now with the customization we do have back inside wallpaper and style settings you can choose a color palette this pretty much changes the app icons and also highlights accents across your entire phone based off of the color wallpaper you've chosen so as you can see here all the native Samsung app colors have changed unfortunately we can't choose a specific color just yet, but I think with that new update we'll be able to but for now you can still get a pretty slick styled looking wallpaper setup with this customization so that'll totally bring some color into your fold 4 but so can this so inside settings under notifications if you tap on brief pop-up settings you'll see Edge lighting style and I absolutely love these there are a couple of different effects to choose from once you've decided on which one you like most you can then choose a specific color and once you've done that you can go into advanced features and change a couple more things like transparency the width of the effect and also the duration it plays for as you can see there are so many different options to play around with to get the exact look you're going for and by the way the same Edge notification style you go with applies for the cover screen as well as this is another really cool notification feature you can toggle on under accessibility in advanced settings you'll see flash notification and with this what happens is when you get a message your camera flash will actually go off, and you'll be able to easily see in the dark or if it's in your backpack that you have a new message or call and if you toggle on this screen slash option every time you get a notification your screen will flash this beautiful bright color as you can see here it looks so cool, and I personally love this feature it's eye-catching it's bold and also easy to see so that is a great way to spice up your notifications but let's move on to some bonus tips so check this out if you go into the drop-down quick settings and choose to add a new Option you can choose live caption once you've added this what you can do in future is toggle this on and now anytime you watch any video content on your phone it'll automatically transcribe exactly what is being said on the video or media it's also surprisingly accurate then this is a Nifty-hidden feature under advanced settings if you go into motion and gestures you can toggle on Palm touch to turn-off screen now anytime you get a phone call if you just place your palm on top it'll silence the call also within the motion and gesture settings if you scroll down you can toggle on finger sensor gesture and what this does is every time you want to open the notification panel you can just scroll over the fingerprint sensor with your finger, and it'll open it up quick and easily in a couple of seconds just like that and that is why I call this the best folding phone in the world for now anyways if you want to see the Z flip 4 or the SP2 Ultra you can check them out right here, but I'll see you in the next one tootles.
