The second chakra is called the Sacral Plexus and is more commonly known as hard. Hara is a Japanese term. It is the area of our guts, which has also been called the center of our body. The second chakra relates to the stability issue of our life. Stability is connected to creativity and, in a complicated way, to peace of mind. Let me explain this stability-creativity-peace of mind connection. Creativity is the work that we do, and in return, we get energy (normally in terms of money). This money helps us with our survival, stability, and growth When we are contented with our work and we know that we are growing in our line of work, we get peace of mind. When our survival, stability, and growth are taken care of, it gives us fulfillment. This is how these three things are connected. But in our society, many people are in the wrong line of work. They are not doing what they have an aptitude for and this causes disruption of peace of mind, giving rise to constant conflict and discontentment inside. This is also one of the factors of anger. The work which is in harmony with our aptitude is what I call our 'life-work'. Not doing our ' life-work' results in unhappiness. The second chakra is also the sexual center. Because of societal pressures, this issue is suppressed, and thus this chakra has less energy than others. It seems shrunk in size. When we eat food, the basic raw energy is produced in the root chakra and sacral Plexus. This basic energy is also sexual in nature and needs to be sublimated to change it to create energy. Sublimation brings this energy into the head(3rd chakra) and the heart chakra is connected to the arms and hands. We do our work with our hands and thus creativity is expressed through our hands.
