Marvel stunned MCU fans with two big Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness revelations during the Super Bowl. Doctor Strange 2 trailer 2 confirms two big cameos that appeared in previous rumors and leaks, and one of them sparked quite a debate about Iron Man. Fans also think they saw Dead pool on the new Doctor Strange 2 poster that dropped with the new trailer. That’s on top of spotting Captain Carter’s shield in the same image.
The actor told Variety that he's "not really in the movie". However, as a respite to the fans of the merc with a mouth, he has confirmed that the third part of 'Dead pool' is "coming along".
A purported image from the film might give us a blurry first look at the character. And it leaked just as Ryan Reynolds issued his first denial that Dead pool will appear in the Doctor Strange sequel. Before we move forward, you should know that a few big spoilers will follow below.
While the Captain Carter shield seems to offer indisputable evidence that Hayley Atwell will cameo in Multiverse of Madness, the Dead pool sighting isn’t as obvious on the poster. However, there’s something even better when it comes to the Merc with a Mouth.
With Patric Stewart's cameo as Professor Charles Xavier almost confirmed, fans have been looking for traces of other Fox characters. Just last week, Dead pool creator confirmed that some characters will officially cross over to the MCU in 'Multiverse of Madness'. Since the release of the film's trailer, fans have been on a hunt to find all the Easter eggs in the clip and even in the poster.
Rumors spread like wildfire after Ryan reportedly uploaded a picture of himself wearing his Dead pool suit and then deleted it. A fan handle claimed that the lady in the picture was a costume designer for 'Doctor Strange 2', seemingly confirming his role in the upcoming flick.
Ryan also spoke with regards to 'The Adam Project', where he stars as the titular character, a fighter pilot in 2050 who befriends his 12-year-old self played by Newcomer Walker Scobell when he travels back in time to 2022.
The film serves as the reunion between Reynolds and director Shawn Levy with whom the former worked in 'Free Guy'. Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner will play Adam's parents. In addition, it also stars Zoe Saldana and Catherine Keener.
Talking about the film, Reynolds told the portal "It felt like one of those big wish fulfilment movies with huge stakes and high concept, but it was really about something very personal as well, which is sort of what I loved about movies in the '80s -- what I loved about 'E.T.' and 'Back to the Future,' and anything that (Steven Spielberg's) Amblin did... 'Goonies'."
"It just felt like it sort of harkened back to that kind of filmmaking and in the period we live in right now, it felt timely. I always think of it like the Mary Pickford model, which is to make them laugh, make them cry and then bring them back to laughter. If you can do that, you've made something worth watching", he added.
