According to a survey conducted by the local social media site LocalCircles, rates of unexpected heart attacks and strokes among healthy, young, and middle-aged Indians are on the rise. And both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals are being affected by these escalating medical issues.
According to the survey, up to 51% of respondents know someone who has recently suffered a heart or brain attack, a blood clot, neurological difficulties, accelerated cancer, or other unexpected medical conditions.
According to the study, after a year, the proportion of people who knew one or more people with sudden serious illnesses or problems increased from 31% to 51%.
The study added that a total of 62% of the individuals in their close network who were suffering from such serious diseases had received two doses of vaccination; 11% had only received one dose, and 8% had not.
The survey, that obtained more than 32,000 responses from individuals located in 357 districts across India, noted that interestingly, 61% of the people in their close network who experienced severe medical conditions had experienced Covid once or more while 28% claimed their contacts with the kind of severe conditions did not really have Covid.
According to studies, more than 200 million people worldwide might be suffering from a long-term disease called COVID in which they have myocarditis, pericarditis, brain fog or memory problems, sleep apnea, weariness, joint discomfort, and other medical conditions.
Many healthy, young, and middle-aged people, both men and women, have had heart attacks and passed away in the past three months. Numerous times, the victim was exercising—dancing, going to the gym, jogging, etc.—when they went into cardiac arrest. What causes such unexpected deaths?
According to several research, 0.9% to 23% of Covid-19 patients experienced a stroke, which has been identified as a sign of the disease, according to Bengaluru-based Narayana Health. Narayana Health claimed in a blog post that stroke can appear in highly afflicted Covid-19 patients who initially develop Covid-19 symptoms and afterward develop stroke as a multi-organ involvement. This statement was based on Narayana Health's investigation of Covid-19 impact. The study highlighted the fact that, despite the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare publishing "National Comprehensive Guidelines for Management of Post-Covid sequela" for doctors last year, not much appears to have been done to advise citizens, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, who survived more than one bout of Covid or its derivatives, on potential problems and the need to prevent Covid reinfections.
LocalCircles' founder, Sachin Taparia, said: "It is essential that the government conduct detailed research on these serious medical conditions that people face and examine the effects of Covid by variant and the effects of vaccines by vaccine brand and batch numbers. The amount of Covid infections experienced also needs to be taken into account. All of these factors will help to shed some light on the fundamental reasons of some of the serious medical conditions that people suffer. Additionally, it will help us better plan for potential future events."
