Need for solar panels
Researchers develop solar energy storage and transport technology without need for solar panels

solar energy storage and transportation
While thermal energy is very useful in many applications, including heating, it is nowhere near as versatile as which can be used to power a large variety of devices and applications. (Cell Reports Physical Science)
Researchers at the Chalmers University in Sweden and the Shanghai Tong University have come up with a technique to harvest, store and transport solar energy and then derive electricity from it.
I previously wrote an article about which solar system to use, where I compared Tesla versus for the better system, and I’ll also follow that up with the decision I made and why I made it. The cost in March 2022 was 15 cents per kWh, a rise of 22.81% year over year. For the solar panels, our cost is fixed at $108.63 per month, which is the financing cost of the panels. I estimate we’ll save $368.01 over our first year by using solar panels, for an estimated first year return of 28.23% on investment The living area opens onto an extensive outdoor patio with multiple entertaining spaces as well as a vanishing edge infinity pool. The property has been used to host events ranging from weddings to political fundraisers, said Douglas Ryan who is representing the listing with Josh Altman, also of Douglas
On the upper level, a primary suite has views overlooking the property, as well as a sizable walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with dual sinks and further views, according to the listing.
Two longtime caretakers also reside on the property and are available to be hired by a future buyer
Typically, luxury homes in the area sell for closer to $1 million to $2 million, according to listing records, but the combination of the home’s location, extensive work, and prominence in the community led to the nearly $10 million price tag
Probably [be priced] at $30 million or $40 million, This is one of the best in the entire area. Everyone in the area knows the home, knows the family, and we’ve had initial conversations with people interested in buying the home simply because it is the family home.
Better home design leads to better solar utilization
Texans where I live prefer their modern homes to have punctuated rooflines, turrets, and complex shapes. Houses could take advantage of first principles design with solar and 100% electricity, including meters, higher amperage circuit breakers, and electric vehicle charging. It’s a failure of imagination, knowledge, and design by home builders to maximize living space, reduce energy cost, capture more solar energy, and increase comfort.
Where we commonly stay. If it was prudent, I would switch our tankless water heaters to electric heat pump water heaters, as mentioned by Joe in his great comparison piece
