After the re-appointment of MS Dhoni as the captain, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) came back to the winning ways as they brought up their third win of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). However, CSK still have a long way to go in terms of their road to qualification. With 6 losses in 9 games, CSK need to win every single game they have remaining in the competition to stand any chance of advancing through to the next stage. CSK will be happy to know that their next opponents on this path are Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against whom they have had an upper hand. In 29 games between the two sides, CSK have won 19 of them while the Men in Red have gotten home in just nine. While CSK have the form, RCB still have a strong all-rounder side to make it to the playoffs. In the first meeting this season, Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube helped CSK bat RCB out of the game as they won that game rather comfortably in the end.
Who will win the RCB vs CSK match: It has been the week of comebacks with teams in the bottom half of the points table giving a run for the money to the ones in the top half and have thrown the 15th edition of the cash-rich league wide open. Seeing how the likes of Chennai, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders have gotten across the line in the last few days, expect RCB to come back to the winning ways and end the successive run of losses. CSK's bowling attack is too inexperienced in the absence of Dwayne Bravo and if the West Indies all-rounder sits out due to an injury, RCB might just back themselves to avenge the loss against Men in Yellow in the first meeting against them.
