India is a developing country. The Indian economy is rapidly growing day by day. But we can see the last few decades in 1949 at the time of Independence, the agriculture sector is a backbone of our economy but in 2021 only 15 percent. Contribution in the economy. How it is possible ?
There are many reasons behind it like Globalization, privatization, and Industrialization as well. But only these reasons behind the fall in percentage in the Agriculture sector. There as poor government policies, lack of government scheme implementation, etc.
Conditions of Agriculture Labor.
The Agriculture labor in India are not interested to work in a small land, the reason behind that is simple, they get lesser money as compared to larger land farmers. The second big reason behind it is when the Indian economy and literacy rate of India is growing rapidly as compared to 1980.
So many agricultural labors decided her/his child study more and get a good quality or best to come job rather than agriculture labors. Government implements proper policies for small marginal farmers and also implement schemes for farmers. Those have less than one-hectare land, also the government provided cheap loans for purchasing Machinery.
Impact of Demonetization
On 8 November 2016, the government announced an act of demonetization in India. This is a huge step for our economy. This type of demonetization was implemented because of the day by day. Black money in India increased. Because of implementing this demonetization, at that time around 16 Lakh crore rupees collect from black money. At that time, farmers are given loans from banks as well as another private credit union. At that time, government allow only 25,000 rupees. In a week, so this is difficult for the common man. And farmers as well. Small farmers are also suffering a cash-crunch due to demonetize, as many have crops lying around, but with no buyer, what's over.
Inadequate Storage facilities
Every year, there is a large amount of food loss. Due to a lack of storage facilities in India. On one side we see farmers are protesting against the government and throwing milk, vegetables on the road. India's rank falls from 94 to lol in the global hunger Index. I think this is a very concerning threat for India in the future. At that time, government good steps on storage facilities. When we increase the storage facilities, then automatically increase the farmer's income. In my opinion, I think we not only make storage facilities as well as improve road connectivity. Because of the good storage facility and well road connectivity, then we sure "Save Money and Grow more"
Dependency on Moon soon.
In the Southwest, moon soon is considered vital for the cultivation of Sharif crops, Which one heavily dependent on rain as the quantity of rainfall determines the production numbers.in the case of these crops. However, early showers are critical for farmers in terms of planting crops like cotton, rice, pulse and soybean.
In many regions of India, there is less than 180 mm rain fall, Example Jaywalker district around 176 mm rainfall occurs in one year. Their farmers do not grow any crop, and it's the opposite in Meghalaya state received 745.2 mm rainfall. Indian Agriculture sector accounts for around. 14 percent of the country's $2.7 trillion economies. And 42 percent of the total employment in 2020.
