A day after Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin was admitted to the Carvery Hospital in Chennai after testing Covid-19 positive, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called and spoke to Stalin and about his health on Friday. An official press release from the state government said that CM Stalin thanked Mode for inquiring about his health and that he was recovering well. During the call, Stalin also invited the prime minister to the inauguration of the 44th International Chess Olympiad, which is scheduled to commence in on July 28.

 The Madras High Court has observed that the removal of ‘that’  by an estranged wife would amount to subjecting the husband to mental cruelty of the highest order. A division bench of Justices V M Velma and S Sounthar made the observation while allowing a civil miscellaneous appeal from C Sivakumaran, working as a professor in a medical college in Erode, recently.

 DMK interim general secretary Thursday expelled  OF (OPS) two sons, and his 16 other supporters from the party, prompting a retaliatory action from the rival camp leader who sacked 22 functionaries from the other faction in the capacity of DMK ‘coordinator.’ Following EPS’ action, camp demanded that the government intervene to ensure that the official residence of is not used for political purposes.

 A delegation of MPs T.R. Baal u and, Minister for Sports Development and Youth Welfare and Chief Secretary would meet the Prime Minister to invite him for the inauguration of the 44th International Chess Olympiad.

  On July 12, Mr. Stalin posted in the social media that he tested positive for COVID-19 and two days later, he was admitted to a private hospital in  Chennai.

  Over 2,000 chess players from 187 countries are set to take part in the Olympiad. Several cultural programs will be organized as part of the international event, for which the Tamil Nadu government  allocated ₹92 crore.

 who was admitted to Carvery Hospital in Chennai for Covid-19 treatment has recovered from the infection. Stalin will be discharged on Monday when he completes the isolation, a health bulletin from hospital co-founder and executive director Dr Aravind Selvaraj said.  

He has been advised complete rest at home for one more week, it further stated.

 On Tuesday, the CM had tweeted saying he was in isolation. Two days later, Dr Selvaraj said Stalin admitted to hospital for investigation and observation for Covid-related symptoms.

 Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, being treated for Covid-19, has recovered well and. He would be discharged on July 18, a hospital treating him said on Sunday. He has advised complete rest at home for one more week.
