<Encourage Children>
The way to get children to learn willingly is to give them encouragement & confidence in themselves. Chasting & telling them that they are 'no good' or 'thick', hasn't ever spur a child to greater achievements.
If the child appears to be a 'slow learner', look instead, to surroundings, Peers, elders & teachers, to see what alternative methods have been tried.
<Congratulate them on small achievements>
Congratulate & encourage child's efforts when a child does well. While it is struggling with new stratieegies, appreciate more.
Sometimes Parents fail to understand that why their child is 'progressive' in learning one subject but 'supersonic' in other.
In order to understand their 'Performance quotient', children's behaviour is to be examined.
When a child is veery good in one subject & unsuccessful in another, look carefully at its interest or inclination. If it demonstrates specially-attained skills, think! can they be transferred to the other subjects? Sometimes it is a question of motivation because sometimes a particular subject matter doesn'st appeal. Think what can be done to make the subject more interesting.
<Channelize their Hyperactivism>
Mark! if your child is such
> bublees with superb overload of energy.
> is either constructive or destructive.
> fights with everyone.
>Is extremely aggressive.
> Doesn't follow instructions.
[ Solutions]
- Engage child in fruitful activity.
- Design games which are intellectual & use its creative mind. like: Making Toys or other useful items with Waste.
- Dont give them Toys, instead, give them waste material & engage them in in artful expression of knowledge.
- Encourage them, congratulate them & spend quality time in understanding each-others' bend of mind.
< Drive them to Concentration >
- Does your child have low reading, writing, or learning concentration?
- Can it not concentrate on one activity for long period?
- Can't it study for more than Half hour?
[Solutions]
>Each Child has different 'cognitive' & 'Perceptual' Skills, so divide te time of learning into few terms.
> Mix studies with activities, Solving worksheets & playing games.
> Children between 2 to 5 years have 'Very Low attention span', they cant learn continuously for an hour so Parents and Teachers shall teach them in chunks.
