Our Sun (a star) and almost all the planets are part of a Milky Way galaxy. Our galaxy is called the Milky Way because it appears as a galaxy in the sky when you look at it in a really dark place. The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy with great obstacles.

It is tough to calculate the number of galaxy stars from our position within the Milky Way.
