When One plus nord mobiles got OS Update

OnePlus has started rolling out the Android 12 based OxygenOS 12 stable update for its first No rd smartphone. The company has released a stable OxygenOS 12 update with new features such as a new visual design, enhanced dark mode, and OnePlus Shelf. The stable has brought fixes for the issue of phone’s inability to summon Google Assistant when ‘Ok, Google’. As it is a stable version, we expect the previous bugs and issues seen in the beta version to be solved.

One Plus has said via its community forum post that though most of the bugs has been solved, there are still some bugs and that the next update will come with fixes for them. For example, the display of some pages in Settings will be different from the system, the camera may crash when shooting photos in Portrait mode, and the phone’s screen will glitch in specific scenarios when calling, among others.

In April, OnePlus began open beta 2 testing for the OnePlus No rd in India. Now, the company has released the stable update. The new OxygenOS 12 for OnePlus No rd is rolling out to only users in India. The OxygenOS 12 is available to both those on Android 11 and those who have been using the beta version. The update for the OnePlus No rd has a size of around 3 GB, so make sure your phone has enough empty space for downloading the update. Note that you should keep your phone connected to a charger and should be connected to the internet, probably the one that offers high-speed downloading while updating your OnePlus No rd.

According to the official Changelog, the update will also upgrade the Android security patch to 2022.04 and fixed the issue of abnormal touch sounds and the issue of abnormal boot animation.

The latest update will bring all the Android 12 goodness to OnePlus No rd users. With the new update, users will get new features, include new privacy and safety options. The new features will make it easy to track if any of the major components such as the camera or microphone are in use.

How to update

Compatible devices will receive a notification ahead of the OxygenOS 12 update. You can also check for the update manually in the ‘System’ section of the settings. Just click on the ‘System Updates’ option to check if you’re on the latest version. Like we mentioned earlier, OnePlus No rd Users should make sure that the battery level of their phone is above 30% and that a minimum of 3 GB of storage space is available before updating their device. While some users should have received the update, it may not reach others at the time. The company claims that users will start receiving the update in the coming days if they haven’t already.

The OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, 9R, 8, 8 Pro, and 8T have received the stable OxygenOS 12 update. Open Beta builds are also available for the OnePlus No rd and No rd 2, while the OnePlus 10 Pro runs OxygenOS 12.1 out of the box. OnePlus says that the following devices will also get the Android 12 update in the future: OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, and the No rd CE 5G.
