Offsite data backup be careful who you deal with

You know that increased competition is good for the consumer, to an extent, I agree, but not at the cost of cutting corners and jeopardizing the security of your data. We all know and agree that the company's data is its most important asset, and losing or giving up access to your competition is never an option. So please be carefully where you store your data. The general idea of ​​offsite backup is a good one, after all it has a very low proportional implementation cost and since the right system should be fully automated, the cost of ownership is also very low. It is also very scalable, unlike tape backup, you can start small and grow into larger solutions when you need them with zero disruption, but you have to stick with the right offsite backup company in the first place. In today's data centric environment even small companies can have more than one server, for example one server for Microsoft Exchange/Lotus Notes, one server for Microsoft SQL/Oracle/MySQL and potentially one file and print Servers, or perhaps a single server that performs all the tasks. Smaller companies may still use the older legacy Unix based or Novels based systems, or may consider migrating to a lower cost Linux environment. Whatever you currently use or what you may use in the future, your offsite backup solution will need to be adapted. Please check any backup company you use, make sure they are always developing their products for the future, for the future of your companies. It's easy to get data to an offsite location, anyone can click and drag to a ftp site to optimize your backup and most importantly your recovery time. Make sure your data is stored locally or sourced. But compressed. Security is the most important element of any data transfer, make sure your data is encrypted before it is transmitted and remains encrypted while in storage. If so,  only your organization will have access to your data. In what environment is your data stored? There is no point in moving your most important asset to another location, make sure it is completely secure, data should only be backed up in a Class 1 data center with the highest security and security measures, clustered hardware must be done so that there is a single point of failure within that data center and for added security and peace of mind the entire data center and hardware must be replicated in real time to another location preferably in another country. Imagine your local data being backed up every night or whenever you wish to a secure remote location in the UK and then replicated in real time to another data center in a different country. Lastly, this whole process should be as efficient as possible. It must be completely secure, fully automated. Ensuring that your employees are focused on revenue-generating tasks, it must support open files that enable you to (backup) even if No matter what your system is doing,  and it should be capable of incremental backups, after all there's no point-transmitting a file that hasn't been accessed for a year.
