When you’re stuck without a wireless connection, your phone can be a real lifesaver. By enabling hotspot mode, you can share your mobile data with laptops, tablets, or even other phones via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or a USB cable. Most mobile providers allow this feature, but your plan must support tethering and you’ll need enough data to make it worthwhile.

How to Enable Wi-Fi Hotspot on iPhone or iPad
If you’re using an iPhone or a cellular-enabled iPad, open Settings, then go to Personal Hotspot, or tap Cellular > Personal Hotspot. Toggle on Allow Others to Join. (Can’t find this option? Your mobile carrier might need to activate the feature for you.)
Take note of the Wi-Fi password shown on the screen. You can also activate the hotspot from your Control Center for quicker access.
On the device you want to connect, open its Wi-Fi settings, find your iPhone’s name (like “John’s iPhone”), select it, and enter the password when prompted. If you're using another device signed in with the same Apple ID, it may connect automatically. Once connected, your phone will share its internet connection using your mobile data.
