World Cup 2022: One Love armband - Germany players cover mouths amid row with FIFA

"To convey the message that FIFA is silencing" teams, Germany players covered their mouths during the team photo before their World Cup opener against Japan, according to Hansi Flick. For the duration of the tournament, captains will now be permitted to wear a No Discrimination armband. Against Japan, Germany captain Manuel Neuer wore the FIFA armband.

China Covid: Angry protests at giant iPhone factory in Zhengzhou

Protests have broken out at the largest iPhone factory in the world, which is in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou. Protesters claimed that police had beaten workers. Conflicts were also shown in videos. Foxconn said it would collaborate with employees and the local government to stop more violence.  The company stated in its statement that some employees had concerns regarding pay but that the company would comply with contracts regarding pay. Rumors that new recruits were being asked to share dormitories with Covid-positive workers were also described as "patently untrue."According to Foxconn, before the new residents moved in, the dormitories were disinfected and inspected by local officials. The site was locked down last month due to rising Covid cases, which prompted some workers to flee and go home. After that, the business hired new workers and promised them big bonuses. Workers were heard yelling, " according to a video posted on a live streaming site. Protect our liberties! Protect our rights! With sticks, other workers were seen smashing windows and surveillance cameras. We were unable to receive the promised subsidy because they altered the contract. "They put us in a quarantine but don't give us food," a Foxconn worker said during his live stream. "We will keep fighting if they do not address our needs. "He also said that he saw a man who had been beaten by police and was "severely injured.
