I am from a remote village in India, born in a very poor family. Our life is a survival battle sometime and this survival battle has been continuing since my childhood when I started going to school. In school, I was a good and bright student. As I grew up, family pressure was slowly trying to build up. I assured everyone that I would be successful one day and fulfil my parents' dream. I always thank my father because he sacrifices his own needs for my bright future.
School life is gone and university life began. After taking my engineering degree from a good central university, I was about to take a decent job with decent salary. My best friends and family members bade me good luck for my future. But, during my last months of university hostel stay, my physique really degraded. I ignored it all at the first place, but my health knocked me again and started annoying me day by day. I was always waking up with an acute pain in my stomach. Days gone, but my pain came every single morning. Slowly, this pain would reveal at any time during the day! I knew nothing about such condition and always ignored the pain, never told anyone, thinking it was normal. Eventually, My hostel stay ended, and I came back home. Again, I applied for master's degree and as usual started staying in hostel again. My roommate was used to take junk and oily stuff every day, pork was his best choice any time! I have a bad nature that I cannot say NO at once, and this led me to take pork, oily, spicy and junk food every day along with my roommate. I already told that I had a serious health condition, which was silent for a few days when I was home because I controlled my diet all the time. The pain rose up again and this time it was intense! I immediately rushed to a physician and diagnosed with numerous stomach ulcers and burnt esophagus due to acid reflux which were building up in recent years because of no treatment. Slowly, I was getting unable to do physical activities like playing, riding, exercising etc. I was depressed very much. With lots of physical and mental stress, I completed a master's degree too. I came back to my house again but didn't apply for any job because I knew with such mental and health hazards I would not be able to work properly for any company. Months spent inside the house, just lying around, doing some light work, that's all. I felt very bad for my parents because I could do anything for them. My father was still working day and night in his 60s while his fellow mates were retiring from work. My parents could not provide me better medical treatment due to lack of money. Their only hope was God's blessings for my well-being. Over the next few months, I developed respiratory problems too, shortness of breath. Some other problems like gray hair, back pain, hemorrhoid, enlarged prostate also showed up, and I was fighting with all those. Some of my jealous neighbors always asked me why I was getting thin day by day and insulted me if my parents didn't feed me properly. I ignored those naysayers every time with a smile, but I never told them about my illness because we were already ill financially and this would probably help them to laugh at us again rather than helping. We were broke from all sides. My health, wealth and hope all were lost somewhere!
It has been three years with my sick health. Recently I managed to meet a good doctor. I have changed my lifestyle, food habit and started taking medications. I don't know if I will be healthy and fit again, but always try to stay positive and sacrifice anything for my health's sake. Because in the end, Health is Wealth! These days I have been doing several Yoga poses to relieve my stomach issues, trying not to hard work etc. I can't wait any longer, this time I have made my mind to clear upcoming interviews.

Life is going like this for us! Every person has a different life story. We experience, and we learn to live better every day. Things might get worse, but never ever lose your hope!! Life is only one, God sent us for some reason, just believe and keep going. So, that's my story. I'm 28 now, let's see what life will bring me in the future. Hope for the best!
