NASA spacecraft who 'touches' the sun for the first time

NASA says one of its spacecraft has officially "touched" the sun.

NASA scientists say the Parker Solar Probe has managed to enter the Sun's atmosphere called Corona, where it has never been before.

The spacecraft Parker, launched in 18, was 800,000 miles (13 million kilometers) from the center of the Sun when it first crossed the uneven line between the solar atmosphere and the outgoing solar winds.

According to scientists, the spacecraft went to and from Corona at least three times, each time the transfer was smooth.

"The most dramatic time was when we were under the air for the first time," Justin Casper of the University of Michigan told reporters.
