Being the only planet known to support life, Earth's natural features are the focus of numerous scientific disciplines, and it also has many strange and mysterious places. Lets see some of them,
1. Lake Natron – The Scariest Lake
Animals that perish in this lake in Africa calcify and become sculptures. They become mummies because there is so much sodium bicarbonate present. Additionally, the lake appears red due to the high alkaline accumulation, particularly in the summer in Tanzania. Because of this, this lake is often referred to as the "Petrifying Lake."
2. Peruvian Vinicunca
Regarding rainbows and South America, Rainbow Mountain in Peru is like something out of a hallucinogenic dream. Sedimentary deposits throughout the years gave Vinicunca its distinctive multi-colored marble appearance, and the entire walk is simply amazing.
3. Turkey's Darvaza Gas Crater
The Darvaza gas crater, also called the Door to Hell or the Gates of Hell, is a natural gas field that collapsed into a cavern near Darvaza, Turkmenistan. Its Turkmen name is Garagum Alkymy. It's said to have been burning constantly since 1971, maybe as a result of deliberate setting fire to it by Soviet geologists trying to stop the spread of methane gas.
4. Danakil Depression, Ethiopia
In terms of average temperatures throughout the year, the Danakil Depression is the warmest region on Earth. As one of the planet's lowest locations at 100 metres (330 feet) below sea level[7], it is also dry for the majority of the year.
5. Underwater waterfall, Mauritius
Just off the coast of Le Morne, on the island’s southwest, Mauritius, It’s really just the flow of underwater currents that create the dramatic image. The ocean water is spectacular from the shore, but to see this view requires a helicopter ride.
6. Bryce Canyon National Park
In the southwest of Utah, there is a national park called Bryce Canyon National Park. The park's main attraction is Bryce Canyon, a group of enormous natural amphitheaters that may be found on the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau but, despite its name, is not a canyon at all.
7. River of Five Colours
The Macarena mountain range in Colombia is home to the breathtakingly gorgeous Cao Cristales River, popularly referred to as the "River of Five Colours" or the "Liquid Rainbow." With a length of over 100 kilometres, it is a distinctive river that is renowned for its brilliant colours, which change throughout the year.
8. Panjin Red Beach
The name "Panjin Red Beach" refers to a big area of red seepweeds that cover the area and turn it completely crimson from about April until October each year. In reality, Panjin Red Beach is a wetland that is covered in paddy rice fields, reeds, and seepweeds. Additionally, many water birds use it as a habitat.
