When MS Dhoni turns 41: Fans celebrate MSD birthday with 41-feet high cutout

MS Dhoni could have resigned from global cricket , yet his frenzy is as, yet alive among lifelong aficionados of the game. On Thursday, the previous Indian captain will turn 41 years of age, and on this event fans in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada have made a 41-feet high pattern of Ms Dhoni playing his brand name helicopter shot.

The pattern highlights Dhoni playing his brand name 'helicopter shot' on the last conveyance of the 2011 World Cup. The photograph of the pattern has now turned into a web sensation.

After awaiting farewell to global cricket in 2020, Dhoni has been carrying out his specialty in the Indian Premier League (I PL) playing for Chennai Super Kings.

In I PL 2022, Dhoni partook in a somewhat respectable season with the bat, scoring 232 runs in 14 games, with a top score of 50 and these runs came at a strike pace of more than 123.

Before the start of the time, he had surrendered the CSK captaincy with an eye toward the future, and Ravindra Jadeja was designated as his replacement.

The long-haired boy from Ranchi went on to become one of India's most successful captains, earning the tag of 'Captain Cool' for staying calm even in the most trying and challenging circumstances.

He made his debut in 2004 and after becoming India's captain, Dhoni went on to win the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He also collected the ICC Test mace after taking India to the top of the Test rankings. He is still the only skipper to win all ICC trophies.

But the winning six off his bat, which signaled India's 2011 World Cup win in the final against Sri Lanka at the Wanked Stadium in Mumbai, is revered the most by the fans of Indian cricket.

Dhoni is currently in the UK and celebrated his birthday there. He also went to watch the ongoing Wimbledon tennis tournament in London.

Dhoni went on to represent India in 350 ODI and amassed 10,773 runs at an average of 50.58, including 10 hundreds and 73 fifties. He also featured in 90 Tests, scoring 4,876 runs at an average of 38.09, including six centuries, a double hundred and 33 fifties. In 98 T20Is, he scored 1617 runs at a strike rate of 126.13, including two fifties.

After India's defeat in the 2019 World Cup semifinal, Dhoni was never seen again in India colors; but he continues to lead Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

He announced his international retirement in 2020.
