Mountain Bike Tires How Important Are They

Bicycle tires, unlike car tires, lose their daily pressure, so it is necessary to check their daily pressure and refill if necessary.

A few days ago, I was happily driving on the highway, returning home from a bookstore. A passing driver sang a song to me and then pointed to my car as if something was wrong with it. I nodded and waved to slow down, they passed me. However, my car was behaving the way it always did ... there was no “pull” or wrong ride indicating that I had a flat tire. So, with only ten minutes left from home, I continued driving - albeit slowly.

My mind is as it is, when I hit the road I forgot the reason why I was driving a little ten minutes ago, I just went into the house.

The next day, I got in the car and got out of my parking lot and headed for the driveway, before I remembered that there was something wrong with one of the wheels. So I went back to the parking lot, got out, and checked my tires. The back on the left was flat like a cake.

I would not drive home with it like that - it would definitely disrupt the handling of the car. So yesterday the wheel must have been low, and it continued to work all night.

My father, who had personally witnessed my return, asked me if I had checked the tires before hitting the tire regularly, and I admitted that I had not. I've been driving for years I've never had a flat tire before, so why bother?

But I learned a lesson from that little incident, and now I take a few minutes to look at the tires before I leave.

And that little story brings me to the point of this story,  before you ride your bike - there are a variety of things you should check to make sure you will have a safe ride. Indeed, despite my indifference to the wheels of my car, I kept checking the tire pressure on my bicycle before boarding. Great because I had a few flat tires on that bike in the five years I was in charge.

The pressure of the tires is important for cars, because if the tire explodes while the car is moving at  heavy machine will come out uncontrollably. But it is very important for cyclists, because as you have to use your strength to strengthen the bike, broken tires will make your ride from scratch. And if you are away from home when the tire is inflated, you may find yourself on a long journey home.

There is no difficulty in knowing how many pounds of pressure need to be put on your bike tires - the manufacturer puts that information on the side of each wheel. Get a tire gauge and use it every time you blow the tires. However, while you may not want to exceed the pound per square inch they recommend, there are reasons why you may sometimes want to spend less.

If the tire is inflated at the right pressure, your ride will be as smooth as the quality of your frame will allow. If your tires are  it increases the chances of getting a flat tire, but more importantly it makes it harder to tread. Too much pressure will compress the tire itself, not to mention making the ride too bumpy for comfort.

Bicycle wheels lose constant pressure, so before you start riding, constantly press both front and rear tires to make sure they are stable. Mountain bikes prefer their "mushier" wheels more than other bicycles, and if that applies to  just get used what the wheel pressure that is right for you looks and feels.
