Mountain bikes need only two things when cycling - a good bike and a good safety helmet. But there are plenty of other pieces of equipment that passengers must keep, increasing their enjoyment of the game.
If you are out with your mountain bike, the only things you need, apart from the bike that is right for your place of residence, are a helmet and goggles. Everything else can be considered as accessories, although it is the type of accessories you should also have.
But let's take a look at mountain bikes from the ground up.
Bicycle storage
Where do you keep your bike if you are not riding? If you live in an apartment where space is high, it is always best to hang the bike in the hall, either on the wall or on the ceiling. (Does anyone remember seeing that bike hanging from the ceiling in the old Seinfeld TV series?)
If you are lucky enough to have a garage, there are plenty of places to park your bike, but since you may not have a place to kick your mountain bike, the best thing you can do is have a bike stand where you can park it. Placing bicycles on the stand also makes the garage look neat.
Bicycle tools
Want to make your bike repaired? If so, it will be much easier for you if you have not only small tools for the purpose but also a great tool - so that you can be in the right position, which will help you to secure your wheels from time to time.
If you are off track, you may have an apartment, so you will want to bring a lot of tools with you. But it is not enough to have the tools - you also need to know how to use them. So take some time after purchasing these tools to work with them and get acquainted (gain, obtain) with the necessary techniques to repair various things that may go wrong with your bike.
Bicycle accessories
What types of services can you find on your bike? There is something like the rear mirrors, though these are more popular among street cyclists than mountaineers. The same goes for horns or instruments to let people know you are behind them. Also, available are bicycle headlights, powerful, that you can use if you want to break down a trail at night.
Bicycle clothing
Cycling riders often wear tight-fitting bicycle shorts and a tight-fitting jersey, while mountain bikers tend to look like sackcloth. Clothes worn by mountain cyclists get better as they can use a fall cushion. Instead of relying on those outfits, however, you can also put guards on the knees, shin, leg, arm, and elbows. Gloves are also important, as they will protect the hands from the heat of the road, not to mention the increased grip of the bike.
Bicycle safety
We live in a world where unsupervised bicycles often disappear. That may not be a big problem if the "beater" is only $20, but if it is a mountain bike that costs hundreds of dollars, the loss is even more devastating. Sturdy bike locks are required.
It is possible to install transponders on bicycles so that they can be tracked if stolen. Police use this and "wall" bikes. However, various companies are working to develop GPS tracking devices for real-time bikes. They will probably be on the market in a few years.
