Moment of Inertia
Abstract:
Hypothesis: In order to measure the moment of inertia for a disk by comparing with theoretical models.
Methods Statement: For the disk and bar, we measured the necessary quantities like mass and angular velocity. From these measurements, we made our data and then analysis. After that, we moved towards the final results.
Results Statement: The data we got and the analysis we made, from these two things, we got our final results. Through comparison with theoretical models, we measured our final outcomes.
Data:
We made the following measurements as the data of this experiment given as under.
For plain disk,
Mass = 462.5 g
Radius = 12.2 cm
For the bar,
Mass = 203.5 g
Length = 22.2 cm
Width = 5 cm

Conclusion:
We kept in mind the main goal of the experiment mentioned in the hypothesis. In this way, we worked and performed each and every step so that we could manage the measurements of the data and the analysis. The readings made for the bar was included for the comparison purpose with the data of the plain disk. In this way, we reached to the final outcomes and found that there was less difference between the two.
For us, this experiment was easy and we performed well in it. We have known this fact from the final results that we got after measuring the data and analysis quantities. We got a lot of knowledge from this experiment about moment of inertia.
