"Only those who keep walking get sweet returns...look at the sun's perseverance-dynamic & always on the move, never dormant hence keep moving".
The above-mentioned lines are the ones, quoted by Narendra Damodardas Modi/ Narendra Modi/ NaMo or whatever name you know him by. He whose name is known by his works and vice-versa is a man of his words, "Dynamic, always on the move and never dormant".
Narendra Damodardas Modi, after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, became the only Prime Minister of India to form a government of absolute majority & didn't give a chance to the citizens to regret their choice. his works in the first five years of his tenure were absolutely commendable. His work versatility never stopped to amaze & occasionally traumatize the citizens and non-citizens equally much. Whether it be in the form of DEMONETIZATION (2016), GST (2017), the abolition of TRIPLE TALAQ (2017), or ZER0 TOLERANCE FOR TERRORISM (Surgical Strike & Balakot airstrike), BJP government, under Modi's supervision kept to march forth and make India proud in 'n' number of ways.
But as every coin has two sides, every government has its own downfall too. The same is the case with the BJP government as well. The list of their good deeds is way too long of course, but it had certain drawbacks too, so let's discuss them first...
Drawbacks of the BJP government...
A few drawbacks of the BJP government count like:-
Economic Slowdown:-
During the first five year regime of the Modi government, the biggest blunder visible was, "The economic slowdown". It so happened because of the unplanned implementation of the Goods & Service Tax (GST) as well as less concentration on the employment generation. The last quarter's GDP growth rate of 5% signals that India is in the midst of a prolonged slowdown. India has the potential to grow at a much faster rate but all-round mismanagement by the Modi government resulted in this slowdown.
But as a matter of fact, it's not the first time that a slowdown had hut the economy, it happened before the BJP regime as well, though it is true that the government needs to look into the matter on a priority basis.

Putting up strict measures and special courts to stop hoarding and black marketing:-
The party, in its manifesto for 2014 Lok Sabha elections had promised to "put in place strict measures and special courts to stop hoarding and black marketing". However, no such courts were set up in the last five years and the only action taken was limited to advising state governments for strict enforcement of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

Unbundle Food corporation of India:-
The party promised to "unbundle Food Corporation of India (FCI) operations into procurement, storage, and distribution for greater efficiency". On this, the government appointed a high-level committee to look into the restructuring of the FCI, which recommends not to unbundle the FCI operations. No further progress was made on the matter.

It's an agreeable matter of fact that, the blunders made during the NaMo regime are inevitable, but that doesn't mean we forget about the various historic achievements and decisions made by the same.
NaMo era brought about some historic changes in the nation for all the sections of the Nation whether it be on the basis of gender, religion, or any other base.
BJP government marked a huge difference in various fields such as:-
Zer0 Tolerance for terrorism:-
Surgical strike and Balakot airstrike are the major examples of the NaMo's intolerance against terrorism.
2019 Balakot Airstrike was conducted by India in the early morning hours of February 26 to avenge the "Pulwama attack", when Indian warplanes crossed the De Facto border in the disputed region of Kashmir and dropped bombs in the vicinity of the town of Balakot in Pakistan.
Pakistan's military, the first to announce the airstrike on February 26 morning, described the Indian planes as dropping their payload in an uninhabited wooded hilltop area near Balakot. India confirming the airstrike later the same day, characterized it to be a pre-emptive strike directed against a terrorist training camp and causing the deaths of a "large number" of a terrorist.
Constitutional amendments:-
With it's coming in power, BJP brought some positivity and stability in the nation.
Positivity came in the form of low inflation rates came down to the ground level, and also a great reduction was seen in the rate of housing loans after the years. Other than this the government also provided homes, completely free of cost to the unprivileged ones.
whereas Stability could be seen in governance as a majority of states have BJP government which makes it easy to pass bills and make various nationally essential decisions.
The never-ending list and a challenge to all
NaMo era brought about numerous commendable changes in the nation which gave people hope for a brighter future & some humongous challenges to all the existing political parties with the following:
- 12 new AIIMS across India
- 35 new airports
- Constructing 1.8 lakh kilometers of roads
- 2.35 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
- 7 new IITs & IIMs
- GST with reduced tax slabs
- 5 lac tax redemption
- 7 crore LPG connections
- 100% Electrification
- Homes to 2 crores homeless people
- Construction of 9 crore toilets
- 33 crore Jan-Dhan accounts
- 32 crore LED bulbs
- 14 crore mudra loans
- Cheaper cellular DATA
- New weapons and safety to soldiers
