I recently came across in-game functions applied in mobile games called lucky boxes or mystery boxes or lucky wheel that various item display and are basically just cosmetics, each item has its own chance of getting, ranging from common to legendary.
The worst thing about this type of Micro-transactions is that kids like wasting their money on such things and end up getting a common item, my question is how is this not gambling or lottery. Kids all around the world are you scammed into participating in such lucky draws, such things develop a gambling mindset in children which is just unacceptable for any parents. Examples of such games are Call of duty Mobile, Pubg mobile, Mobile legends, etc.
So it is important for parents to have control over their childrens in-game activities, and make sure they don't get involved in such In-game Micro-transactions.
The best way to avoid children from participating in such events is by setting a budget in the Play store under the accounts option, this way children wouldn't be able to spend more than expected cash on such games. Having planned hours for gaming and other stuff is also important for good character development.
This matter has been forward by many people before but hasn't been strong enough to bring such events down, people need to know how child activities can deeply impact his entire life and just his childhood. These scams are not just any game companies but we'll know once that keeps avoiding all lawsuits faced by them.
As a parent it's your job to monitor such activities before it leads an uncontrolled addiction, there have been many cases of such kind in the past where a kid has spent over 10k dollars in a game, which made his father go bankrupt.
