Mission travel emphasizes helping the less privileged, primarily in the form of physical labor. If the church organizing the trip can afford the expenses incurred, it can pay the money needed for transportation to and from the destination. In the event that the organizer of the business trip is unable to bear the associated costs, it is the responsibility of the travelers to bear their own personal costs. Anyone going on a mission trip must be properly vaccinated against all types of diseases such as yellow fever, typhoid, hepatitis, malaria and other such diseases as there may be chances of infection in these remote places. One should not expect any luxuries while traveling, one must be prepared to sleep in sleeping bags or tents and eat whatever is available without fuss. The spirit is always to devote time and energy to others and not to personal fulfillment. Mission trip travelers should be prepared to face the hardships of life, they must be prepared for any physical work such as construction or manual cleaning of the area or any other such activity. Many times' people from the medical background may be asked to go to remote locations where there are fewer doctors and treat patients with maximum commitment. Popular places for mission travel are the Caribbean, Africa, the interior of the Americas, India, Australia and other underdeveloped countries. Missionaries around the world are also offered discounts on travel to their destinations because of their noble cause. Men for missionary work are also offered services at discounted prices for catering and accommodation facilities. There are people who have dedicated their entire lives to serving others and become lifelong missionaries. Not only for Christians, it is always desirable for everyone else to experience the joy of mission travel at least once in their life.
