Geocaching / is an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use the Global Positioning System (GPS). BotFighters is a location-based mobile and ubiquitous game developed by It's Alive Mobile Games AB. (acquired by Digiment in 2007) is designed as an MMORPG played in an urban environment. This was probably the world's first commercial location-based game. First released in Sweden on March 14, 2001, followed by Russia, Finland, Ireland and China. In 2002, it won the Award of Distinction in the Net Vision category at Prix Ars Electronica.
The mission of the game was to find and destroy other players. Each player was depicted in-game as a robot warrior. Successful battles were rewarded with money that could be exchanged for upgrades to the player's robot armor and other features via the website.With no safe zones or timeouts, the game expanded over time. . Players were playing all the time. Similarities in the game have been compared to those in paintball.

The club has sections for skiing (including ski jumping and biathlon), orienteering, handball, soccer, floorball and track and field (formerly also bandy). Allt-fawr is a mountain in Snowdonia, North Wales, part of the Moelwynion Ranges. On the northern slopes of Allt-fawr is the Oakley Quarry, the world's largest underground slate mine. On the south slope is Cwmorthin's large quarry. These two mines are connected under the summit of Altfaul, and vast chambers and mine shafts are visible on the surface of the mountain where underground work has collapsed. From 1974 to 1997, the Gloddfa Ganol tourist attraction operated at the Oakley Quarry on the south slope of the mountain.
