The red devils -
Since the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, Manchester United has not been the formidable force that they once were. Old Trafford which was once a fortress seemed to have crumbled into ruins. They have failed to qualify for the UEFA champions league several times now and are now being branded as a mediocre club which is quite shameful for such a historic club.
Are times going to change? It doesn't seem so from the football they're playing at the moment. From bottling a 1-0 lead at home to Liverpool and getting an away win at Serbia against FK Partizan in the Europa League with just one shot on target, the fans are not at all happy. Club legends are always quick to criticize the football United are playing right now and why wouldn't they? The team that used to shatter world-class defenses in a heartbeat is now playing the ball to their defenders whenever they get the chance. But is it the players' fault? Is it their club legend and current manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's fault? It's NO according to many of the fans. They blame the infamous Glazer family and their so-called puppet Ed Woodward.
The real culprits.
Ed Woodward who is the Chief executive of the club is the real problem according to the fans. He was appointed right after the Fergie era and it is now clear why he was not appointed when Sir Alex was still the gaffer. Ed Woodward, a businessman has been put in charge of the transfers of such a historic club which is just flat out outrageous but is it bothering the owners that are the Glazer family? Not at all as Man Utd is not if the richest club in the world with annual revenue of about 667 MILLION POUNDS! This is even after a terrible season which saw them out of the top 4 in the premier league.
Ed Woodward is doing business alright but it seems to be business that is to fill his own pockets! #glazersout and #woodwardout have been going on for a while now and it seems to be the only solution that Manchester United have at the moment, after numerous managers and players have come and go, United are still nowhere near the force they once used to be.
Ladies and gentlemen, Manchester United is now a mid-table team.
Very nice
