Mark Haydon wrote a great book that became a bestseller and won both the Whit bread Book of the Year and the Whit bread Novel Awards. While Mark Haydon himself was making this book, he is said to have shouted, "Who wants to read about a 15-year-old boy with a disability?" He knew little about the 15-year-old boy with a disability who made his book stand out, won the award, and became a bestseller. This book is called the Bizarre Case of Dogs at Night, and the boy is Christopher.
Christopher has autism. He can give his name to every country in the world and its capital. He has a memory of photography and is a genius in mathematics and science. Despite his extraordinary intelligence, he cannot think, understand, or relate to jokes. He also doesn't like the places where many people and people touch him. Both autism scholars point to characteristics common to people with autism and people with Savant syndrome. Autism is a developmental disorder that belongs to the group of autism spectrum disorders. This condition is primarily characterized by impaired socialization, imagination and communication. Savant syndrome is characterized by very low intelligence in general, but is usually very weak in the fields of mathematics, music, art, and memory.
His mother decided to leave Christopher and his father because he was unable to meet the demands of an autistic child. Parents who care for special children, such as children with autism, may have a higher level of stress than most parents. This is mainly due to the fact that children have special requirements, abnormal behaviors and other abilities compared to children of the same age. These children are probably difficult to communicate and cause unusual reactions. An example of this is when a child with autism cries for no apparent reason and begins beating himself. Perhaps something upset him or her, but he or she can't express it because he or she doesn't know her way. Some children with autism who have sensory integration problems may be hypersensitive or hypersensitive to tactile, pressure, movement, and sound. They exhibit certain behaviors that are difficult to understand, such as avoiding certain types of food or drink, pinching or tapping, making repeated movements, or screaming. Some of them may also show a strong attachment to a particular routine and fear of new places and people. Responding to the needs and behaviors of these children is not easy and can therefore cause a lot of stress.
Autism can severely limit the world of children. They should be safe and prosperous and avoid anything they consider to be a threat to their safety. However, many factors, situations and demands of society make them uneasy, and the pressure they face makes them very worried in most cases. Unconsciously and unintentionally, children with autism always have emotions of fear of something new or foreign to their understanding. Like the book, when Christopher had to leave a familiar area of the city, he was physically ill and scared. Unlike most children, people with autism cannot easily adapt to new environments and situations. The learning process to understand and accept what was previously unknown to them leads to a higher level of anxiety.
