Limited Run Games is holding its own Not-E3 presentation today, and if we had come up with "LRG3" for an event, we'd probably hold a conference too. The company primarily releases physical and special-edition versions of classic and modern games, and a livestreamed showcase will show off its upcoming lineup.
How to watch LRG3
Limited Run regularly releases newer and fancier versions of classic games and will livestream its third annual showcase on Monday, June 6 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET on its Twitch channel. We've embedded the stream here.
What to expect
Joining the group will be Mega64, the Internet comedy group responsible for a slightly inaccurate retelling of how the original PlayStation console was made. Limited Run Games says that it will have over 30 game trailers and physical release reveals of its collector’s editions, in-chat giveaways, and more.
Giant Bomb teases some news about what's next for the site.
Change is afoot at Game Spot sister site Giant Bomb, as Jeff Gerstmann and the site are parting ways. The news comes just ahead of further announcements this week that will outline the nine crew members that will form the site's core group moving forward.
"Jeff is a co-founder of Giant Bomb and has been at the heart of the site since it launched in 2008," the site said in its announcement. "Whether it's Quick Looks, live streams, or the Bomb cast, you have consumed content that he had a hand in making. Jeff has shaped Giant Bomb in profound ways, and he's also been a key part of bringing on board the voices that have defined the site through its different eras. To this day, Giant Bomb’s influence on the way video games are covered on the internet is still as pervasive as ever, and Jeff remains inseparably attached to that legacy." But even with Gerstmann moving on, the site vows "continue to be a weird and welcoming corner of the internet. A place to celebrate video games and all the things surrounding them, with other like-minded folks who also call Giant Bomb home."
Further information about the news is slated to be discussed during the June 7 episode of the Bomb cast. This podcast will cover the aforementioned outline of just who the nine core Giant Bomb crew members will be. Additionally, there will be further clarity on the plan for the Premium membership, as well as a sneak peek at what future content is planned, and more.
The Giant Bomb cast will be streamed on the Giant Bomb website and on Twitch. It kicks off on June 7, 2022, at 11 AM PT.
How to upgrade Legendary Gems
To make Legendary Gems even more powerful, you'll need to rank them up. Doing this boosts the gem's Combat Rating, Resonance bonus, and its primary attributes. At rank 3, another effect for the Legendary Gem will unlock, while at rank 5 the gem will also award bonus magic find. Legendary Gems can be upgraded to a maximum of rank 10, after which they can be used to "awaken" a Legendary item, which grants various additional effects depending on the Legendary item being awakened.
The catch is that ranking up Legendary Gems doesn't come easy. To rank gems up, you need to acquire duplicates of that same gem as well as a resource called Gem Power, which is earned from breaking down unneeded Legendary Gems. The more powerful the gem and the higher the rank, the more duplicates and more Gem Power that is needed to rank up.
Best Legendary Gems
Finding and upgrading Legendary Gems is a key part of Diablo Immortal's endgame, so it will be a long process. It may be tempting to use and upgrade the first Legendary Gem you find, but keep in mind that some are far more powerful than others, and certain gems can be more useful for specific classes. Most 1-Star Legendary Gems are only useful in the interim until you find more 2-Star gems, and if you're lucky enough to find a 5-Star gem, you'll want to upgrade it as fast as possible and build your character around it. Here are some of the best Legendary Gems to keep an eye out for.
Best 1-Star Legendary Gems
- Chained Death
- Trick shot Gem
- Berserker's Eye
- Everlasting Torment
- Se led's Weakening
Best 2-Star Legendary Gems
- Fervent Fang
- Lightning Core
- Bloody Reach
- Cutthroat's Grin
Best 5-Star Legendary Gems
- Seeping Bile
- Blessing of the Worthy
- Howler's Call
- Blood-Soaked Jade
