Learn How to Stay Positive

Positive self-image is key to living a happy and healthy life. In fact, there is an entire arena devoted to it called Positive Psychology.

Is it possible that the world’s greatest achievers think completely different from the majority?

Have you ever thought that success in any chosen subject be it Financial, Political, Sporting or in anything for that matter could be and was achieved whilst the individual was in a state of negativity? Well, I can’t do that – That’s not possible – It will never work.

Here are some ideas to help you to be more positive and feel better:

Pay Attention to Your Thoughts

It is important to actively think about what you are feeling and how it is portrayed in your life. Try to catch yourself thinking a negative thought, and say “STOP” to redirect yourself to positive thoughts. Write down negative thoughts, carry a small pad throughout your day and jot down negative thoughts whenever you notice them. Evaluate relationships in your personal and work life, and surround yourself with those who are also positive and support you. Avoid negative words such as worried, frightened, upset, tired, bored, not, never, and can’t. Remember to smile, it’s contagious!

Nourish Your Body and Mind

The basic human desire is to feel loved, and sometimes that love comes from within. And to love ourselves fully, we must incorporate healthy habits into our lives for a nourished body, mind and soul. A few ways you can nourish your body are by exercising, eating healthy foods, stretching and connecting to others. Wear comfortable clothes that you like, that express your personal style, and that feel good to your body. Count your blessings, not your blemishes.

Build Your Inner Confidence

People with a poor self-esteem are more likely to experience declined physical and mental health that affects their daily lives leading to stress and anxiety. Focus on the present, set aside a specific time each day for you.

Positive thinking is a mental and emotional attitude that focuses on optimistic and positive thoughts and expects positive results. It is a mindset that looks on the bright side of life and anticipates happiness, health and success. People with this attitude are confident, and believe they can overcome any obstacle or difficulty they might face. With this mental outlook, you become more motivated, and can motivate people to improve themselves and their life.

Give Back & Help

To Give back has a positive effect on your body and will make you feel great. Studies show that when people donated to charity, the portion of the brain responsible for feelings of reward were triggered. The brain also releases feel-good chemicals and spurs you to perform more kind acts. Donate old clothing or household items to a local drive, Goodwill, or Salvation Army. Offer to help a neighbor or family member in need. Clean up the environment.

Bring Positivity to Your Life

Read books and articles about this topic and think often about its benefits. Use your imagination to visualize only favorable and beneficial situations, and avoid imagining problems and failure. This will set the law of attraction into action, bringing positive changes into your life.

It is paramount that if you want to be successful in life, you must surround yourself with positive thinking individuals and to share your positive thoughts and attitudes with like-minded people. Always find reasons to smile. This would help you feel good and maintain more harmonious relations with people. It is also equally important that you write your goals down and place them in a position where you can see and read them on a daily basis.

Believe in yourself and visualize your goals to see how small your problems are. Start with confidence and watch your problems shrink. Your world is nothing more than the thoughts you have about your experiences. "In order to live worry-free, first imagine a worry-free life".
